SPN takes a fascinating turn into jailbreak / survival thriller territory...  like an interesting sort of film-within-a-film interlude.. VERY excited to hear y'all's thoughts on this one!

I love this episode. I think it’s the peak brother vibes that get me. It’s nice to see them on the same page & just getting it done. It also helps that the guest stars were really on point in my opinion. I especially loved the delivery from Camp and Wally…. “Well that is totally mentally normal” got me 😂

John - you nailed it with the graphic novel description. Andrew Dabb (the new co-showrunner) comes from that world. This episode gave me Rambo and Commando vibes with some A-Team shtick. This didn't feel like SPN to me, but I hate it less the more times I see it. I watched this show live but it was colored through certain fandom lenses - so it's been a fascinating experience to watch it free of those influences the second, third and fourth times around. Also, I'm pretty sure it's been discussed through panels with J2 that the deprivation was intended to be part of the "brodependency" the show focuses on. And it wasn't 20 days - it was 6 weeks. LOL.

I think the road so far was a bit longer cause this was the episode after the mid season break.

One of my favorite Dean lines: "we're not trapped out here with you, you're trapped out here with us." Jensen delivers that line perfectly. Badass Dean to the max. The only thing I thought was false was the lack of tracking dogs, which the military trains and employs in these type of military ops.
