Psych The Movie - WATCH ALONG!!

Yayyy so excited to start the movies! I love that they got Dule’ Hill’s actual wife to play his love interest lol. I’m super sad there wasn’t more Lassie in this, but completely understandable considering Omundson’s health at the time. If I remember right, they made a second originally just to have Omundson be able to be involved once he recovered more from his stroke. 🥹

Hey John. You skipped my comment from a few episodes ago. I guess I'm not much of a priority for you. But I'm going to put the same message you ignored here: Hi John! Happy Gemini birthday dude! Our birthdays are right beside each other. Mine is June 14th and I think yours is the 13th (or is it the 15th??? 🤔) but I know it's either right before or after mine. So big *Hug and kisses*! I hope you spend it having a satisfying time dude! 💙🤗 Man those guys had alot of fun on this show. I bet that must have been a rewarding and fun experience for them. I always wanted to be a voice over artist on a really cool animated show because I can do interesting voices (I think). But I feel like nowadays you can't just walk in and audition. You have to be like you and Greg and have a YouTube channel or something, attain a cult, and promote energy drinks. You dudes do alot of work. 🤯 And then based off your own blah blah thing you may get something. I miss the old ways and days of doing things old fashioned. Like you get a gig just because no one else sounds like you. But noooooo...... now you have to do all this extra junk, too. Just thinking about it makes me dizzy.😵‍💫 But anyway love ya! And I will see you lates skates dude! Peace out! 🤭💙🖐 Maybe it was an honest mistake that you neglected me. I'm used to it. Happy belated.

I’m wondering if the response might be in that one intro John mentioned is still being edited that’s not out quite yet. Just a thought!

My bad! I misremembered the Ewing cameo, I thought it was after the credits, but yeah. This was a blast, like being in that time frame, watching the series finale in 2014 and then The Movie in 2017 was so surreal, and I loved that Psych kept to their core and did basically and elongated ep of the show, because like Steve Franks said in the after pshow, just because it was the finale he didn't want to feel too different, and the same thing with The Movie, it didn't had to be a cinematic 2:1 aspect ratio feel, just a new adventure of Psych as you know them. Not to say there wasn't any evolution, it was right where matters most on the characters just throughout the show, which I was able to quickly reobserve when I was going back to count your pineapples finds and while at it, I rewatched some of the reactions in preparation for the finale, and while we talking about evolution, you John had grown into a full fledged Psych-O very rapidly! That face-time scene with Jules & Lassie was very sweet, especially knowing the real life circumstances, yes Timothy Omundson had a stroke like a couple of weeks before they were suppose to start filming, after an hiatus in production to make sure Tim was alright, Steve & James rewrote the script in like a couple of days, and that scene in particular, Maggie filmed it during production with James reading Tim's lines, and 7 months after his stroke, Tim was ready to film his part and Maggie went to his house to read the lines with him🥺. 🍍#76! They keep it easy for this couple of movies. Trivia: Yes many returning characters and many returning actors in new roles like Mark Acheson who played "Ted the Beaten Criminal", who also played the criminal in the pilot ep, the one Shawn told to clean up his sleves of the taillight shards that then fallen into his boot.

I honestly love these movies for the sole fact that it feels like just a extended episode of the show. of course it updated here and there with things but overall it still has the same exact vibe as the show and its great. all the returning characters and all the jokes honestly had me laughing way too much at this movie. it was also pretty nice seeing charlotte flair get a role in this movie and perform her signature submission. im super excited to watch the next two movies along with you.

Absolutely NOT ignoring you, my dear!! And VERY MUCH appreciate the birthday love - full response is coming, it's just in the Intro for the After Pshow (which is suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper duuuuuuuuuuuuuper long & thus I've been sort of cutting it on my off hours when I get a chance between things). So it's coming & you'll get a notification bump when the new After Pshow file is swapped in with the proper intro responding to the outstanding comments from the Finale & S7 Bloops. But either way, just wanted you to know I very much appreciate the BDay love & a proper response is nigh!!

So glad you are starting the movies. When the first movie was announced the energy of the Psych-O’s was amazing. We were all so pumped (even the cast and crew, at least that’s how it felt). USA Network did a bunch of promos for the movie and they were a blast. If you get a minute I would check them out, here is a link to one of them (hopefully it works). https://youtu.be/ZV58k_JqlLs As I’m sure many have mentioned Tim Omundson had his major stroke right before they started filming. For a while they weren’t even sure he would survive. For the rewritten script to be able to include that one scene between Lassie and Jules was iconic and so beautiful. Tim gives a lot of credit to James, Steve and the whole group involved with Psych for giving him the confidence to appear on screen again after the stroke. Looking forward to the next 2 and hopefully beyond. One of the many things about the movies that I love is they feel a bit like a love letter to the fandom while also being entertaining for all.
