this is easily my favorite of the three movies and so far i think its evident why. i do love the other 2 movies but man this one just hits different. might i add a movie suggestion and say kubo and the two strings. i think it is criminally underrated and i never hear anyone mention it.

Yeah this is definitely the best of the trilogy, I think. Tai Lung is often talked about as the favorite villain of the trilogy, but I think that Shen is objectively the best written villain of all three movies. Shen is such a deceptive, cunning, evil villain and I love it. His strength is his cruelty and his mind, even though he is very skilled in combat with weapons, he can't compete with all the masters of Kung Fu around him. Even though he's such a terrible guy, literally committing genocide, there's some really sympathetic stuff with him, like Tai Lung. He was cast away by his parents, and he was given the same hole in his soul that Po had. Like when Shen was defeated and on the boat, asking how Po found his peace, it almost felt like he was asking for himself. He hadn't found his peace, and not even conquering the world would satisfy him. So its almost like Shen was desperately wondering how did Po come back from such a broken place, as Shen is still in that place. I think that's why he's the best, is his relation to Po. Tai Lung was kind of Shifus villain. But Shen directly is connected to Po and his fate. One of my favorite lines in the movie is when Shen told Po, (So brilliantly delivered by Gary Oldman) "Your parents didn't love you." Shen is giving Po the poison that he's tortured with constantly, because he knows Po is searching for the same answers he is. But he also knows that the pain of thinking your parents didn't love you and abandoned you... is unbearable and soul crushing. It was such a cruel thing to say, and almost just him projecting his own fears. Of course, exploring Po and his journey so much deeper, was so touching. It keeps him human like you said, and it is so surprising that this trilogy dives in so deeply. In both Po and the villains so far, they really have some hard trauma to deal with, and some shocking heart wrenching moments. I adore this trilogy, even more than How To Train Your Dragon, even though that might be blasphemous to some people. So, this is the peak. I dont want to set your expectations but.... Kung Fu Panda 3 is.... good. Its good, but definitely not better than this one. There are some really amazing moments in it that I'm excited for you guys to see. Thank you for the reaction to this movie, and I hope the ending hits for you! See you guys next time!

Could someone tell me how to sync the movie with the time code? Not sure how to accomplish that.

2023-05-07 09:17:47 Ya kinda gotta play by ear & time it alongside the audio + visual snippets at the beginning. Unfortunately, it isn't a perfect science since everyone is watching from their own different source, but that's what that stuff is there for.

Greg noticing Po lost weight 🥰 Nothing can match the nostalgia of the first one for me so it will always be my favorite of the trilogy. But I do still absolutely love this one. The humor and the heart always hit. So fun to see you enjoying these! Skadoosh!
