I find this one slightly better than last week’s one… what always bothers me is the way they represent Edison. I’m from Brazil, but i’ve been to Winter States, in Florida, the place Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone had summer houses side by side… Edison was always represented as a workaholic, but in the end, a guy who wanted to make the world better, not only his banc account!

NO SPOILERS: This is my least favourite season of Jodie's - I much prefer S11 (and S13 is my favourite, even if I didn't rate the landing). I agree, this is definitely a reaction season - and it is odd to me that people **generally** seem to prefer S12 over S11, or at least they seemed to at time of transmission. I will say though, I think Doctor Who is enriched for you as a viewer if you can appreciate it's had so many different styles and iterations over the years, so the 'voice' that Who has had for the majority of New Who isn't the only 'right/ way to do it. I think people also have to bare in mind that this is the 12th series in the 15th year of the show's revival, so a shake-up was always going to be necessary at some point. There's only so much life in one 'voice'. All that to say, the 12th series is a step down for me, I don't think it holds together tonally anywhere near as well as the first season - which had missteps ofc, but ultimately I think was a very confident vision for a new take on Who, one that I think will grow on people with time, when they don't have to worry that this show's new voice isn't for them anymore. There are some cracking episodes coming up though - so things to look forward to!

I do not think this episode is amazing or anything but compared the the rest of the era so far it feels like a breath of fresh air almost and a lot of people latched on to that, I always go into the episode with hope or something amazing and this was the closest I got to that in a while
