I've not even pressed play yet and I can already hear it. BENNI! 🤣

Jillian Storm

oh Benni. Great facts, Rosie! Hmm. As I recall, Earth's future was developed enough that I understood the timeline as a tween in the '90s. I remember several classic series that hopped in and out of Earth's future with decent continuity. When the series came back I remember thinking they did a fairly good job of working in or around that future timeline for Earth (classic series "Ark in Space" matched well enough with the Matt Smith and Amy episode "The Beast Below"). That said, the show takes more liberties with continuity the longer it goes. I'm fond of the classic series episodes on future Earth, they're some of my favorites. :) Good memories.

Yeah it was me that said that John, like I just really don’t like this episode, how you guys reacted to the vampires of Venice or the Robin Hood episode that’s how I feel about this episode, the only parts that I like are the meme parts like bennnniiii but yeah objectively ranking all episodes of New Who this one is firmly last place joined with Sleep no More. Glad you guys didn’t hate it though, always like seeing how you guys vibe with these on this journey through time and space 👌🔷

This is a rought one to watch... But for me, it gets worse than this before it gets bearable again!

The whole, the future is malleable but some events are actually fixed or are predestined paradoxes, has mostly worked for me over the years. As a sort of permission to not be too rigid with the narrative. Rebooting the universe, being one of those arguably grey areas. Where everything might not necessarily be what it once was. So, much like any pervious era, all options are on the table I guess. The well established origins of things are fair game for a little retcon or expansion, depending on your perspective. Hate's a strong word for something that people put their hard work into. With an aim to make some new, unique and special. Disappointed has been my go to word. Droplets of oil jostling on the surface of a shallow puddle. That is the image that best conveys my feelings. Occasionally parts will join momentarily, but it's often too brief.

When I saw “-3”, a cat face is not the first thing that came to mind.

I actually liked this one a fair bit when it came out but I can see why people would have problems with it.
