They really didn't had any plans for the franchise. They didn't expect the 1st film to be a big success and Vin Diesel was already doing other projects at the time and also there were some tense discussions between him and the studio about him wanting a producer role, hence why 2 Fast 2 Furious didn't had him in, this film was more of a personal project of Justin Lin, and not until Fast & Furious when Vin got that producer role they started to think more of a future, and funny enough, since I know you and others didn't liked that film, the future of the franchise was more or less hanging on the success of F&F '09, and well, atleast financially it was. I love this franchise! I'm totally immersed into what it is, and what F&F is it's own genre! And like some people are divided between pre & post Fast Five era, but I look at it as a evoulution, because people seem to forget that we had crazy stunts from the first movies too (ex: open bridge jump, and the Dukes Of Hazzard jump from the 2nd), the only difference between then and now is the budget.

This movie is pretty fun. I grew up in a town with a race track so all the boys in highschool were really into street racing so it always brings me back to nights either at the track or in the back roads where kids were street racing. I remember when this came out all the guys were so impressed with the drifting cause it was such a different concept. Different then the others so I think it kind of sticks out. Anyways, great reaction! I kept laughing at your 'nail prophecy' sayings and your 'car talk' lol. Fun times!

I think this might be my favorite Fast and Furious movie, I'm really thinking and trying to see if there's another one I like more, but it hasn't come to me.... Yeah, this is probably my favorite one.
