we've been meaning to allow people to see the first episode of series completely public and completely botched that with She-Hulk. So doing it in reverse and allowing last episode to be public lol

I don't think you realized that the clip of her at college was actually from Orphan Black.

For me, I latched on to Jen's personal journey immediately. So, I was focused on her journey the whole time. I wasn't really distracted by the cameos or the seeds of blood storyline. I think they did Jen's struggle very well. We see her move from a woman who is solely focused on her job. It's where she finds her confidence and value. We see her as this confident, smart, and funny person with the people she feels most comfortable like Nikki and Bruce. Whereas she is more of a quiet observer in other situations even with her extended family. When Bruce pushes her toward superheroism, she rejects this, because her comfort zone is being a lawyer. It is the thing that gives her confidence and purpose. Being she-hulk is new and uncomfortable. We see her forced to be in the uncomfortable situation of being she-hulk by her law firm. It's removing her autonomy and agency over her own story. So, it makes the arena she was always comfortable in, her job, no longer so. She searches for somewhere else in her life to have agency. Her sex life. And we see her deal with how Jen is rejected. She starts to lose confidence in Jen entirely because Jen is no longer being validated at work or in her personal life. Even her family has her transform because they value what she-hulk brings to the table. So, she starts to also view she-hulk as superior. She starts to find value in being she-hulk and not Jen. Then we see her acknowledge that she does have value as both. And that happens through opening up about how she is really feeling inside which has not done at all even with Nikki or Bruce. I know you hated the therapy scene. But as someone who has been in those rooms it reminded me of those times. She finally opens her heart and is rewarded by recognizing that her feelings aren't facts and that she is not alone. The power of that is very real. They give her the courage to accept her whole self. Then with that acceptance, she goes back to the first episode question of what does she do now that she has changed. And daredevil shows her that there is value in both. We see her first super heroing and we see some of her recklessness in that. She is just hulking it up, but where is Jen and her moral compass. Would Jen ruin property? All this rolls into her using her strength without regard. Allowing her anger to take over. She wants justice for the terrible things they have done. But it's vigilante justice. So, she suffers the consequences. This episode is about Jen taking control of her story. She stops all the overtop fighting. Because that may be some super heros, but it's not her. She is using the law because Todd is not a real threat. He is just a rich man-child with a platform. And she has confidence that she only needs her lawyer abilities to take him down. She has fully realized her self and her path forward. I know this is long, but I just have felt like there has been a couple mentions that this wasn't a strong enough storyline. And I really disagree.

Dylan Hopkins

That's because it's not a strong enough storyline. A lot of what you're saying sounds like it could be a decent story. But if that's what they intended then it was executed poorly. The show tries to go too meta at times too and it falls flat. Just focus on writing a good story, not trying to call out every perceived injustice (true or not) you hear online. That's what's ruining a lot of these films. There's a lot of things that aren't well written either, especially revolving around lawyer stuff and comedy. Which is pretty much the main thing this show advertised itself to be.
