I unfortunately never saw The Shining, but it's one of those classics that you heard so many things that you feel like you already saw it, and throughout this magnificent episode I never felt lost because I understood every single ref. Btw, I remember you John said on a stream that this is kind of the same thing with you and Fight Club! I offer you a deal: if and when you decide to react to Fight Club, I'll make sure to watch The Shining and maybe we can compare quick sentiments of watching the first time a film that we feel we already saw. 🍍It counts! And don't worry, no Psych-o was good at catching pineapples at first, even Maggie & Timothy are struggling to spot them for their podcast. Clue: Shawn Spencer is a very INTUITIVE person. Trivia: You got pretty much all the refs, but about The Ghostbusters one that you were confused about, Shawn was wearing the costume from the old Ghostbusters TV commercial while Gus was wearing the one from GB 2. The mask that Loyd wore was the same mask they used in S3 when Shawn's uncle Jack came into town and gifted them 2 masks to Shawn & Gus.

These themed episodes are some of my favorites, especially ones that delve into horror. I'm not big on the scary stuff but for some reason, I love it when my favorite shows throw in a scarier episode. This actually got me to watch The Shining which I kinda enjoyed minus the anxiety-inducing music lol if memory serves me, the next one is a doozy. Looking forward to it :)

man this episode is one of my favorites because im such a big horror fan. also, gus slipping in the chair actually did happen and apparently james roday liked the moment and decided to keep it in the final cut.
