AND THEN THEY CANCELLED IT!? Unfortunately, you have reached the end of Agent Carter. I have thoroughly enjoyed this rewatch with you John. It really is one of the most underrated MCU projects. I am glad you have had such a good time as well. The first season was meant to be a mid-season replacement for AOS Season 2. Since it did so well, ABC greenlit a second season for this show. The writers felt confident in a third season renewal so they set up future stories: the Arena Club key, Thompson’s shooting, the redacted M. Carter file. I hadn't read this article before, but shit, I was right. Peggy's not-dead brother Michael is responsible for all the horrible things in the file. It was the only thing that made sense to me as we know Peggy isn't capable of the horrible things in the file. So either it was fake. but why would a fake file be worth killing Jack for, or it was about her brother who was supposed to be dead by 1944 when the 'massacre' took place. But how would the Arena club pin/key play into it? I don't know. I had forgotten about that detail since I last saw the show.

Even tho it was such a cliffhanger i remember thinking that the council (which i always felt was apart of hydra because of the hidden symbol from season 3 of AOS) tracked down jack to tie up loose ends that could expose them and to get the file back that is possibly connected to peggy's brother but jack gave peggy their key so they have a thread that connects the assassination to them. Just now got caught up to this, but it makes me so happy to hear how much you enjoyed this show! It's so underrated and deserves a lot of recognition for its brilliant and unique storytelling and exploration of an amazing set of characters. Truly made me smile to see how much you also loved it. (:
