fun glasgow fact from a glaswegian. those blue phone boxes are no longer used by the police, and are instead generally used as coffee stands, or places which sell cbd oil. there’s also a few red ones dotted around glasgow, so we’ve got a power ranger set of tardis’.

i really love this episode as an intro to capaldi/twelve. you get such a sense as to what kind of doctor he is: grumpy and lonely, mostly. maybe a little crazy. love that old man, though <3

Jillian Storm

My best friend's 6-year-old wanted to have her picture taken next to blue port-a potty... absolutely convinced she had found the TARDIS. :)

In my opinion this is one of the weakest episodes in the season. That’s not to say it’s bad, it just shows how good this season is going to be! The next few episodes are some of my personal favourites from all of the shows run. (I also love the fact that the old police boxes in Glasgow sell CBD oil now haha)

Jason Usher

While I think this is one of the strongest episodes, I do agree with you on this season(especially episode 4, my second favorite of all time)

"Who frowned me this face" <3 Although I do love Matt Smith and Clara's relationship, Capaldi brings something brilliant and magnificent into the role. It's the beginning of a beautiful part of Doctor Who, I can't wait to see your take on it.

Robert English

For fans of Gotham, this episode actually has two connections. The woman who plays Missy played a similar character called The Lady in season 2. Also, one of the first people who Capaldi told about getting the role was Sean Pertwee (Alfred Pennyworth). Sean and Capaldi were filming The Musketeers in Prague. Sean is actually the son of the Third Doctor’s actor Jon Pertwee. P.S. If you are interested in Gotham, look up Greg’s reactions to whole show on this Patreon page.

Just popping in to say that I do in fact love Jodie…as a neurodivergent queer I find her very relatable….the writing for her run is shit tho 🤷🏽‍♀️….

Did I miss the reaction to"Adventures in Space and Time"?

8x4 is in my top 5 (probably even my top 3) as well. Phenomenal episode.

This episode is FANTASTIC. So happy y'all are that the Capaldi era.

vita

when he’s talking about the ship and madame de pompadour and is holding yellow / roses/ :’))

not to mention “it’s times like these i miss amy” or whatever. so many callbacks and little easter eggs in this episode. the brigadier is not only an old friend of the doctors, he is also kate’s, the woman who runs unit, father ((:

Disappointing but I do appreciate the quick reply. Too bad as "Adventures" was a special made for the 50th Anniversary and was surprisingly good. I do hope it can be fit in somewhere into your schedule because it is good. Thanks again both RR and Rosie for the replies and have a fantastic weekend.

i've seen it theorized that this doctor is scottish b/c of amy - not sure how true that is but it's a sweet thread if true
