Couple things from me, after a short break ;) 1. The "fire magic" thing is somewhat confusing in the show. In the books fire is dangerous as a source of power, not an effect. So mages are warned not to draw magic from fire. I guess the show portrays it a bit different. 2. Geralt has many, many horses. He just names each one "Roach" 3. The main reason this season diverges from the books in its plot is Ciri's age. In Blood of Elves Ciri is a child, and is treated as such for Triss, Geralt and other witchers. The atmosphere in Kaer Morhen was much warmer and family-like. 4. You're absolutely right about Ellander (the temple ran by Nenneke). It plays a huge role in the books, appearing multiple times even in the short stories. And it's crucial to Ciri's education. 5. I believe the amount of fights this season is caused by some people criticizing the first one over to few monsters. Hence new monster every episode this time. I agree it's too much. In the books Geralt is known to be a monster hunter but overall he doesn't fight that many monsters in the novels.
