OK that's fair! I understand your guys' situation, this season is a tad longer and the big crescendo that everybody is hyped about comes later on in the season, but also the build up is what makes that moment so great. I'll have to refresh my memory of the order of the events, I don't know how many eps you intend to try, but I can say that if atleast by episode...10 (85) it doesn't click for you, then you can push the doomsday button on the show. Few things about this season, we will see some new interesting character like Kite, and some old characters that we'll see in a new (darker) light, and for that matter all this season will be in a more darker tone than previous. This season will have a big philosophical point of discussion about humanity and the distructive or rehabilitating power that it possess and the place they have on the food chain.

after this arc the shows basically over tbh, there’s only one last short arc to kinda wrap up the show. this arcs kinda like the big endgame finale

Its funny how just like you both I found myself less interested with Hunter after the Greed island arc. It was only cause a good friend said to me to watch the next arc as it is a huge improvement from greed island that I bothered to try watching HxH again. I even had to restart the show so I could remember stuff better but because of that friend pushing me I found the last part of Hunter to be some of my favourite anime story ever and am grateful I gave the show a second chance after greed island.

I am also glad that I was not the one that kept pressuring you guys in continuing the show . Despite sending blurays, lol.I know its not an easy show to like and get hooked.
