I like the episode, but I'm not going to pretend that Charlie's "YA novel" comment was written just because of the theme. It's definitely a different tone for SPN, but not an altogether bad one - as long as it doesn't overtake what SPN is really about. Truth be told, this is why I don't enjoy fanfic or the shipping aspects of the fandom - these characters are adults...not lovestruck teens in a John Hughes film (nothing wrong with that - it's just not SPN) and a lot of that part of the fandom writes like the 30 and 40 something year old characters are still going through puberty. LOL. It can take you out of it, and this episode can do that in some ways too. IMO the 4th episodes are always interesting.

Zeke got in sam body at the end of 1. Let say sam is at 1% and zeke is at 50% He is healing Sam and himself. Sam is priority so he starts healing him first. By the start of two Sam is at 50% and zeke 52% Then episode 2 dean makes him fight and Sam gets beat up a bit knocking it down to 49% zeke have to use his powers is knocked down to 50% again. Then episode 3 sam is injured again by reaper and gets knocked down to 45% and zeke uses full energy to heal cas draining him down to 25% Then episode 4 Zeke fully heals Charlie knocking him down to 12.5% So much energy that he can not even erase sam memory of zeke name being called. That is why it is taking long. Because it is a juggling act of healing sort of.

You guys were wondering about Charlie’s shirt. It says “SONMI-451” which is the name of a “fabricant” (artificial people) in David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas. Both the book and the movie. I was so excited to see it, as I love that book with all my heart.

I Love Charlie so much, but I will say Supernatural making the Wizard of Oz cannon feels very odd to me. Not really something I was expecting or needing. I liked the actress for Dorothy, and the idea of the flashback bunker scenes. Dean's view of the bunker being home, his parent energy, and his love of food/cooking, do feel like such authentic dimensions to him being a three dimensional person.
