Now that you know that they're travelling back to the past, you can get some idea why Agent Carter is kind of required viewing. Even though I would like to see you react to S7 right away, I also highly recommend you to see Agent Carter. It's so good. It's fun that one of the early theories as to why Coulson is alive is that he is possibly an LMD and now he is an LMD. They were right ...six seasons later. This is the last episode where you see Christopher James Baker play the lead Hunter Chronicom Malachi, as he had to play a DC villain named Brainwave on Stargirl. Another cold calculating villain.

Gary Marshall

And so for the fifth time in six seasons Fitz and Simmons end up apart from each other. Coma - space - together - time - space again (& death) - and unknown. The pose that May makes when confronting Izel was a homage to Mulan who she voiced in the animated film.

You should absolutely put SHIELD on hold and watch at least the first season of Agent Carter. It's a brilliant show and the wait will be worth it.

This is a reminder to anyone who hasn't seen Agent Carter. I posted links to a recap of Agent Carter seasons 1&2 in a comment to John's reaction to AOS 6x12. They are only about 6 minutes each and it will help you follow along with the story of AOS season 7.

I say definitely dive into Agent Carter (gives me a reason to dive back in as well ha) and prolong the final season!! :) From the time Jemma arrived to the temple to the very end, I can't explain it, but I totally just ugly cried. I think partly because I know what's to come and I'm also so sad that we're nearing the end! It's been such a fun ride.

Ok so watching Agent carter will only make season 7 more enjoyable but if you can not than watching episode 1 is good enough. You could always do a poll. Now this is a long shot but i would love it if you and greg did it together. Agent carter season 1 is 8 episodes and season 2 is 10 i believe. Now about this finale. At the time many people disliked the tone shift at the end because they were still in the feels about May's situation and the abrupt change and introduction of LMD Coulson felt like too much at once. Many people said that they should have never introduced sarge if they were going to bring coulson back but i disagree. May, Daisy, and Mack each had emotional baggage tied to Coulson's death and Sarge was a great way to personify that baggage so that they could face it. Daisy was repressing her emotions(rushing off to space, angry emotional outbursts because she was not letting herself believe Coulson was back. But by the end of the season she is the one pushing that button to wake him up. May was about being emotionally vulnerable and opening up. It ends with her so lonely and sad as she expresses her desires openly to daisy about seeing coulson again. Mack questioned his decision and tried not to be emotionally compromised also caused issues but in the end he is right about sarge and gets the killing blow.

Sarge's story revolved around repressing his true emotions because he was afraid to feel. Izel and him normally have no feelings but the more time he spent in Coulson body the more he felt. Season 6 let the team get to a place mentally to want Coulson back and doing so to save the world not just because they wanted to. Season 7 is not perfect. (scheduling conflicts kept ian (fitz) from being a series regular) but nevertheless it is a great send off for this show and its characters.

Season 7 will be that much more poignant if you end up doing Agent Carter first, but I honestly wouldn't complain either way haha

Sure go for Agent Carter first :-)

I love season 7 and I think I loved it even more because I had seen Agent Carter first. but it's still a great season either way. But Agent Carter is an amazing show and definitely deserves a viewing whether now or later!

Loving your reactions as always! Can't believe you're up to season 7 already! It's so much fun and definitely one of my favourite seasons. Definitely recommend watching Agent Carter and if you may find it beneficial doing this before AOS season 7. It's a really fun show and I recall the Blindwave channel reacting to Agent Carter before AOS final season as well and being quite glad that they had caught up.
