Thats also how dean got thru to Samcifer in S5 finale (him and the impala)

This is one of my favorite episodes! Robbie Thompson is my favorite writer for Supernatural. It was great to have Meg back and I was sad to see her die. She is such and interesting character. Also, the crypt scene is intense and the back and forth between that and heaven. It made it more intense and you can see the struggle Cas is going through. Dean being the one to break through Cas’s brainwashing gets to me every time. Fun fact, in that scene, Dean was originally written to say “I love you” and Jensen talked to Robbie during filming and they changed it to “I need you” because that seemed more likely for Dean.

The pizza man is a reference to an old SPN episode. Cas had been watching porn for the first time, then later in the episode, when Meg kissed him as a distraction to get his angel blade, he swung her round and kissed her like ‘the pizza man’. The bunker was built especially for SPN, it’s not something else that they adopted. I love them having a home now. It’s nice that they don’t have to sleep in smelly motels anymore. Love this episode. Cas, Meg, Crowley, plot development and character work. Don’t know why you think there wasn’t a lead up to the Cas thing. It’s been building up practically all season.

What a beautiful love story! The Pizza Man Love Story of Castiel & Meg!😂😂❤️ Also we got a Reel Rejects crossover!! Watson making a run in on a video that's not Avatar or Korra.🐱😂

Yeah this was a much better ep than the previous 2. I always felt with later seasons the filler episode really felt like filler that could be disregarded whereas in earlier seasons there were some great episodes that weren't part of the main arc. I remember an interview with Kripke where he mentioned that when they really wanted something in the show that the censors might not let through then they'd film it with much more gore so there's a chance of getting what they want through.

Mishalangelo's Apprentice

The actor, Rachel Miner, who plays Meg’s second meat suit (since season 5) diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2010. The choreography and the shots include her may have been designed considering her ability to construct the scene best. In real life Rachel is like the opposite of the character she plays and I love them both.

I think the take away from this episode is that Cas similar to sam and dean in the first part of the season is divided between two things important to him. His redemption to heaven/being an angel and his love of humanity/ devotion to sam and dean. I think it is not supposed to be surprising that he did not kill dean. I think what is surprising is him keeping the tablet from him to protect the angels even tho they were doing things to him. Cas is right in the middle. He wants to keep sam and dean safe but also wants to repair heaven.

Yes she was already experiencing speech problems and heavy balance issues and was losing her ability to walk, and fatigue spells. It was at her own request that the show kill her off as she felt she wouldn’t be able to continue soon. She had become a fan favorite by that time and the show could have recast her but respected her wish and the fan love for Rachel. Unfortunately soon after she completely lost her ability to walk. To this day she’s still very loved at all the fan conventions she’s able to attend.

This episode is SUCH a pick me up from the last two episodes. Having Cas, Crowley, and Meg back feels so right. Robbie is another one of my favorite writers for the show, due to the way he grasps the strengths of the characters. This was the episode where I was really curious about how much of Cas's actions Naomi had control over, like was the Sam damage line just to get alone with Dean or was there truth to it? It seems a bit fuzzy. Either way she can go burn now!! Claiming to "fix" him by turning him into more of a murder! So sad to see Meg go, but I love to see Crowley's intelligence and strength shown brought back in this episode.

Diana

Considering Dean only uses the word love like maybe 4 times in the entire series, that does seem to make sense, but no one can convince me the lighting change in Naomi's office wasn't some sort of compensation for that. It is literally white every other time, but that one scene.

Amber Plaatje

Yes! Lighting is so significant in media and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that in an episode written by Robbie, the lighting changes from white to the colors of the bi flag. And I completely agree about Dean using the word love. It’s not something he has really done in any context

Seriously watch Captain America Winter Soldier after this. I swear you'll be thinking... "mmm, gee... I wonder where they got the idea on how to break the brainwashing from???"

The pizza man refers to a porno Cass was watching
