Just a comment on the technology. We went from horse and buggy to landing on the moon in 100 year time period. Korra is 70 years after ATLA, and the Fire Nation already had steam powered tanks, blimps, etc. We also see the invention in ATLA of submarines and other machines. It's not a stretch at all for me to believe that with lightning, metal, and earth bending they could create a city with about the same tech as 1920s. About the arrows: It's a symbol every airbender receives when they reach the status of "master". It's a testament to how good Aang was that he already had his tattoos at age 12. So Tenzin doesn't have them because he's Aang's son, but because he's a master of airbending.

I like this series well enough, but the biggest problem for me is Korra. I don't like her (just my opinion). I wanted to like her but she rubs me the wrong way in almost every episode. The other characters are what makes this show for me. Still, the fighting, animation and side characters make this something I can rewatch in reactions

Well people forget that the real life Industrial Revolution was the same length. About 70-80 ish years. It's not a stretch whatsoever to make these advancements in a world of bending.

Same! I found her so annoying. I know she's supposed to be the opposite of Ang but still.....The only season I liked was season 3. I enjoyed Ang's son and grandchildren most in the series. Dont really care for korra. (not a spoiler) Also really liked the back story of the Avatar. Most of the villains are pretty weak and Korra is a naive, ignorant and annoying character. Its too much unrelatable teenage behaviour.

He has an arrow because he's a master of airbending. All masters of air bending had an arrow in avatar. All of the elders at the Air bending temple had arrows.

I would have really preferred if the sequel to ATLA would be team Avatar as young adults or something like that! I don't like Korra at all, the animation is smoother but everything else is just bad in my opinion, the characters (besides some but especially Korra!), the world, the story, I can't get warm with any of this and I get bored really quick while watching it, it just doesn't feel right for me! I didn't watch the whole show but if I have to watch three seasons to maybe kinda like it at the end it's just not worth it! Pretty sad because I really wanted more of the world of Avatar but this is the wrong way for me.
