I love this episode. This arc is one of my favorites, and yes...it's important and very significant to Sam and Deans journey. How significant? Time will tell. *writes note to self to bring this review back at some point to revisit* I spent most of my time watching SPN within my fandom circle when it aired, but my thoughts on some of the episodes didn't always match what general consensus was in my bubble. So my guilty pleasure has become watching others react who are not within those fandom factions where biases, toxic stans and people who only view the show through...uh...certain lenses dictate the viewing experience. Too often, people get upset when another perspective from outside their own personal fandom space is spoken aloud, and that's not fair to people who are just trying to enjoy the show. I've seen it seep into a lot of reaction channels and I find it quite sad. What I appreciate about your reactions is the balance between general audience (you were always the SPN target) and having enough experience within the industry to see through the nuances others may not understand or pick up. We don't need validation - that's what tumblr is for.

One of my favorite S8 episodes! I really love the back half arc of this season. The guest actors were good here, and yeah I love Osric Chau as Kevin so much. He's definitely high up there on the reoccuring characters list for me. The brother moments here are great too. For once they both speak to each other with a lot of honesty. Dean's POV on their futures is sad, while Sam's is so full of hope. Those of the moments that kept me watching all through the seasons.

I like this episode a lot. The family in this episode is a lot of fun. It’s a fun episode for sure. I do hate seeing Dean talk about how he is destined to die. He has given up so much in his life so far, he deserves to be happy and get that “white picket fence” life.
