Another little hint was in the Silence episode when River says after shooting down basically all of them, "I hope my old man didn't see that, he gets ever so cross..." when Rory is standing right behind her at the TARDIS door

Remember in The Doctor's Wife, Idris / the Tardis tells Rory that the only water in the forest is the river - alluding to the reason 'Pond' becomes 'River' in the language of the Gamma Forest people

Regarding the facts - the reason Moffat wrote fake endings in the script was so when the River reveal was actually shot, everyone's reactions were genuine. Alex Kingston was the only person Moffat told about Rivers secret.

Great reaction, I love this episode and that huge reveal at the end was mind blowing and one of the best twists in any tv show I have ever seen, also loved all of the recurring Character being in it especially Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax, also The Doctor and Rory found out where Demons Run was from the Cybermen at the beginning

also there will be answers and thats all i am saying about that, and if you guys get a chance you should rewatch Rivers debut 2 parter, it really hits the feels a lot more when you know her character, also Moffat wrote all the episodes with River song in them, even the Tennat Library episodes

So glad the guys enjoyed this episode as series 6 hasn't really been a favorite of theirs so far. Hard not to like this one though, and their reaction to the big reveal was fantastic. That reveal changed so many things in River's background but one of my favorites is when Rory met her at the Stormcage prison facility. If you recall River who had been jovial suddenly becomes serious and then very sweet when she realizes she's seeing Rory, her father, and it's on her birthday. A wonderful scene now shown in a different light. Great episode and reaction.
