I can watch The Idiot's Lantern, Love and Monsters, Daleks in Manhattan and Evolution of the Daleks but this episode and most of the next are unwatchable to me. These two episodes are the only episodes I skip when re-watching Doctor Who.

Something about this episode is stressful to watch because I feel like I want to like it because of the concept, but something feels off the whole time. Not the worst episode in my opinion, but on a re-watch it was even more frustrating than the first time I watched it. Feels like a wasted opportunity for an interesting idea for a two-parter because of the compelling debates that could be had and the body horror elements. But for me a lot of the things characters say or do don't feel properly justified or thought through, which is really off putting because its not a usual thing to happen in doctor who since actions are usually so character based in this show. I can't remember if the 2nd part improves for me, but I hope so.

This and the next episode are what I dubbed as "fillers" between the episodes relating to the overarching plot of the series. I can take them or leave them. Much like "Fear Her" (the one about the 2012 Olympics).
