Hi guys! Glad you enjoyed the ep- it's always refreshing to hear other people's takes to the show, as it always makes me appreciate it more, even in episode I didn't really like or felt were pretty "meh". I love the confrontation between Sam and Dean at the end, and Dean's "acceptance" of Garth's new role, but I'll admit any Anelia moment just makes me sigh and wait for it to be over lol Sam had way more chemistry with past love interests for her to be the one that got him out of hunting and not even bother to look for Dean, and for the most part, I think she was an excuse to stay out of the life. I also think the writers kinda dropped the ball on Sam's reaction to Benny (hypocritical much?), but partially, I guess it stems from a mix of guilt, jealousy and resentment for "taking Sam's place", if only for a hot minute. Anyway, can't wait for next week, which is a top 5 season 8 ep for me!

Hey guys - there are some sound issues happening during the watch along vids...parts are being muted, so I can see you're making comments and laughing but can't hear them. Happened last week too. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Oh, weird.. I'm not entirely sure why that would be 😕I'll see if I can figure anything out

Okay so now that i caught up on your reactions to DW and Supernatural i can comment... Fudge! Even tho this is my 4th or 5th rewatch of this season of Sup i cannot remember for the love of Chuck the details... But it's great to rediscover Garth kinda but I also remember how much I dislike the flashbacks with Amelia, it cuts the pace of the episodes so much and contrast so much with the 'present day' i can't take the actions seriously. That disappoints me, even tho it's a bit weird that Sam didn't look for Dean for long I appreciate the idea of showing us his character development during the passed year (which btw they failed to do for Dean after Hell! Shame! we wanted some lisa/ben time). Anyway, i'm glad i can actually develop my thoughts on these shows with you Rejects!

Hi Guys, thanks so much for your reactions! I find that the first half of season 8 is more angst of the brothers, both of them are jealous they each have met other friends, lol! I think that's Sam's real issue is dean made another friend.

Yes this happened for me with this episode and the last one. I was wondering if you guys would consider adding the option for captions, that way if it happened then we could still read what you were saying?

I don't mind this episode, but the writing and sometimes the directing bothers me. Its too repetitive with their jokes and the themes. I don't really understand who Sam is supposed to be, personality wise, in these first few episodes of season 8. And I get Dean and Sam are mad at each other, but sometimes they emphasize it too much that it distracts me rather than interests me. Like, if you compare this to how they handles similar disputes between them in the first few seasons - much more interesting without making them yell at each other every episode as if they haven't ever worked cases before while mad at each other. Idk, sometimes it does work. But in this episode I was wanting them both to shut up. If they we're going to lead up to the scene at the end with Dean accusing Sam, they would have done better to not hit us over the head with it the entire episode before that. And there's also a disconnect in the writing where I feel sometimes the characters don't really act how they actually would in the situations they're put in. Like, sometimes they say stuff just to hit certain punchy beats and it bothers me in this episode specifically. Anyway, glad you guys we're able see a bit more good in it than I did. Excited for the next episode!
