Great episode!🍺 So much things I have to say! Shawn: "Who hasn't seen The Breakfast Club?"..unfortunately me😔✋, and I'm sad to say that I haven't seen most of John Hughes movies, except for the Home Alone films, that's something I should start fixing. But regardless of my lack of knowledge of his filmography, I am familiar with his movie themes and I surtently could feel the mood of this episode. Poor Henry and Lassie!😂 I was cringing so hard at those awkward scenes with them because I was..still am that awkward guy and I definitely felt that to my core😂. I LOVE Abigail!!!😍 Yes we'll gonna see her again, she's one of my favorite recurring characters, just simply for her calm and soothing presence she gives on screen, I don't actually know how the fandom sees her, but I love her. 🍍Good job John, you spotted the pineapples!🍍 There were quite a few this episode too, they are surtenly doubling down on the pineapples cameos this season. As you spotted, there was a few on the tables in the gymnasium, one behing Henry in the kitchen when he was preparing the stake, and when Shawn first said that Tolkin was the one murdered Lassiter was holding a pineapple slice.

This is a great episode. I am an 80's kid, so I grew up with those John Hughes films. And it was all over this episode. Your right, the music budget had to be high on this one. Rachel Lee Cook as Abigail is most well known from the high school movie Never Been Kissed. Janet Varney aka "Bitchiest Banana" is most well known as Korra on the Legend of Korra. The mystery in this one was interesting too. This is a fun season. You should enjoy.

I am so glad I have finally caught up to the current reactions because this is one of my all time favorite episodes of Psych. I'm a total sucker for the John Hughes references, and I delight in them every time I see this episode. Sean introducing himself as Abe Froman, sausage king of Chicago is delivered so subtly, which makes it all the more classic. I also love Juliet's reaction to Sean referencing the taping Larry Lester's butt cheeks together. That says to me how suited she and Sean could be if the work colleagues thing wasn't in the way. Then again I love Sean and Abigail's story in this episode. They clearly also have great chemistry. And Sean's final speech for Gus is so very touching. It is a rare glimpse into Sean's ability to be mature and real. No need to apologize for rambling, John. I find your thoughts into each episode as a first time viewer to be very insightful. They often give me new things to discover about each episode that I never considered and makes this rewatch all the more enjoyable. I'm having a blast!

Such a fun episode. So many John Hughes references or Judd Nelson ones

I haven't watched Psych in over 10 years. Rewatching some episodes with you is a lot of fun. :)
