2021-07-15 04:15:14 This was a fun episode! 🍺 And I'm gonna tell you why by going straight into the fun tidbits because there are loads of them... Yes as you guessed, most of the portraits were crew memebers, including creator and man with many hats on the show Steve Franks, and Andy Berman who actually played Chuck on the show The Wonder Years as Shawn pointed out in a line. One of the portraits of the ladies from Holmstrom's office was of Young & the Restless alumni & mother of Corbin Bernsen Jeanne Cooper. There was an underline theme this episode of reference to songs, many of the "rambly" lines like the chanting young Shawn & Gus do, the random words Shawn says during the secret handshake with the gurad, Shawn's weird lines during the reveal scene and even the 36-24-36 is a line from 'Baby Got Back'. Pineapple was on the wall mural behind Shawn in the scene before they enter Las Lomas clinic. Don't worry John, you are not a failure! I didn't catch most of them either at first watch, it took me a couple of rewatches and a comprehensive list to be able to spot them in real time.😜 Also I love how in tone you are with the show that you remember little things like names of crew memebrs, and that little thing about Shawn not knowing cats genders, which even I didn't think about it at the moment.❤️

I didn't expect "My mom is a closer." to be the takeaway quote from this reaction but I love it. It's nice to see Lassiter have normal problems. He's such an oddball. He's fun to watch but hard to take seriously at times. The next episode is one of my favorites. My BFF and I stole a gag from the episode and used it to make people feel uncomfortable with their race assumptions. Ah, good times.
