Even though this ep. had a more lighthearted approach to telenovelas, I don't like the stigma that telenovelas/soaps get whenever another show tries to parody them, like sure there are ridiculousness like in many genres, but from my experience with this type of shows, there are unfair! I may be a little byass because soaps are kind of big here in Romania, my mom grew up with Dallas and I grew up with a romanian telenovela "Numai Iubirea (Only Love)" which was a GIANT cultural thing during the 2000s, but Dallas especially had me hooked much like Psych did, in that it had strong characthers like J.R. Ewing, and if someone is so good in their role that even the U.S. president wanted to find out "Who shot J.R.?" then you are doing something great. Not much to say on the ep itself, the usual "fun ep.", "great chemistry", and "good guest actors". Pineapple was when Kelly the craft service girl offered Shawn a "Pineapple Peking Duck" when Lassiter tried to kick them out.

idk if he's the el pollo loco guy bcs I'm a child from the midwest, but he was in an episode of Always Sunny where Frank paid him to pretend to be a male sex worker to persuade Dennis into becoming one too

I hope the actors had fun with this. It feels like it has the potential to be exciting to dip your toe into a different genre from the security of your own show. You got way more caught up in this episode than I expected. :)

Fox

Oh, you're later than usual. I had hoped to be done with you.
