I realize I am wicked late to the party, but might I suggest a way to make the predictable tropes more engaging? Every time the is a blood splatter, drink or whatever is your preferred method of chemical enhancement. Should that not be your thing, bet. Greg, every time Dean says, “Son of a bitch”, put a buck in, John, you can take, every time Sam makes his angsty face, and so on. End of the season, take the $ and go out for a reaction free night. Just a thought. I enjoy your highlights, and observations. Even if/when they don’t agree with my own.

There is a small town in Central Florida called Cassadaga, that is very much like this town.

Salt hula hoops! That’s what your looking for. It’s a fan idea that’s genius but of course never made it in the show because it’d look silly and work to well. But just imagine hula hoops filled with salt 😂 instant circle, portable and almost unbreakable. 😂 There’s also a saying Supernatural fans aren’t afraid of anything, no monster or ghost, because we know how to kill everything

I liked the episode.😂

Agree. For once, a solid Season 7 episode. And I really like that Dean is unapologetic for his actions re Amy. He believed then, and believes now, that it was the right thing. He does not question himself as a Hunter. What was tearing him apart was lying to his brother and the fear of Sam’s reaction. And Like you say, I think they had a good supporting cast this episode. From that perspective, it’s a shame it was a MOTW. And while it’s nice to see how pretty the guys look, when you compare to a seasons 1 and 2 the thing you really notice is the colour. Gone are the days of the colour drained effect. I think it was studio pressure but it did take the programme further and further away from the ‘horror’ genre. For good or ill, those days are long past.

Lily Dale is a real town in NY! I had read the book "Lily Dale: The True Story of the Town that Talks to the Dead" by Christine Wicker. It was nice to have the show go old school haunt, like the urban legends in the early seasons.

Sorry for the delay in my comment on this video - and lack in others. I'm sure you have enough to read anyway and I wouldn't add much to the discussion. I keep having internet issues, which makes watching reactions iffy. I really like the MOTW episodes - the good ones. This one was pretty good. Sometimes these type of episodes aren't pulled off very well, but this one was, overall. The one actress that they worked with did a good job. And we're noticing some changes now that they have to try and stay off the Leviathans' radar. Dean wearing gloves at a crime scene?!?!?!?! And stealing cars. I totally agree with you about the tone of this episode. I don't like how goofy they make some of the MOTW episodes. I find it a bit insulting, actually, that they sometimes treat them like a joke. I really miss the "old school" episodes. Maybe the lack of Sam saying more about his justification for being angry was because there really wasn't anything more than the fact that his friend died and Dean lied to him, and Sam just needed for him to acknowledge that it was something that he understood he couldn't be objective about, and that he probably would have agreed that she needed killed if he didn't know her as a friend. I trust Dean's instincts. What his gut tells him. It's usually right .
