I need to apologize in advance, a little more halfway through the reaction, the autofocus lost...its focus. Happens a little more than halfway through & didn't readjust till moments after the reaction is done. I PROMISE this will never happen again. If it wasn't the "reaction" part I would've reshot it, but, unfortunately, can only do a reaction once due to the nature of what it is. I'd say still give it a watch cause I still think one can adjust to it and enjoy the vid though, and the review is still intact. But you have my word this will not happen again. Thanks for understanding.

I really felt bad for Historia and her situation. I think shes probably the best written female character in AoT. So it really sucks. I really liked Eren caring for his friends during flashback, but also i really liked his current state. Hes really determined , to a scary degree to do whats necessary . The first hanji and eren scene and whole Connie and Sasha bit. I felt like those scenes were overly long and repeated a bit too much, its like filler sequences, to save on animation and fill the runtime of episode. Was really jarring and honestly bad . Levy being petty about others outgrowing him, was really good tho.

You almost got the plan. They will do a partial Rumbling to scare the world, Hizuru then will mine for the stones and in exchange they will help Paradis to build up a big human army so they will not have to rely on the Rumbling, because like you said with the missles and stuff, nukes are a tricky thing. That was all just for defence and to buy time, and then Zeke's plan will come to effect, but we don't know yet what that plan is nor how Eren's actions in Marley affected that plan and their relation with Hizuru. And don't worry about the focus, it wasn't that bad. Luckly this wasn't a very reactable episode so it didn't ruined anything.

For the scenes that you found jarring, they were kept very true to the manga and they really went on for that long tho. I guess in hindsight the pacing works a lot better there compared to the anime.

So for the Historia flashback and Mikasa's crest tattoo, they were unfortunately cut from previous seasons but were shown in the manga. The boys throwing rocks at Historia scene could have been included in S3P1, but honestly it is not that important. The gist is nicely presented here. And if you recall that one Mikasa backstory episode from S1, that was supposed to be the point where we saw Mikasa getting the tattoo from her mum. The scene was likely changed, to them sewing an embroidery instead, because tattoos are generally considered taboo in Japan, especially on a child. WIT Studio also had no idea this would become a plot device in the story later on so they didn't bother including it. I spent some time looking back at some early chapters and can confirm that the wrist cover has always been there haha
