🤣

lewis is your patron

Probably the only episode of S4 that I don’t really vibe with. Don’t hate it, just not an awful fan.

I'm sitting here watching the discussion about the lack of father/daughter chemistry before you get to the behind the scenes info and can't wait because zomg lmao.

Rosie Batey(DarthYoda066)

Same I’m listening to them talk about there being no chemistry between them fully knowing that they’ll get to the facts and find out they’ve been married over a decade now with multiple children 😂

Great reaction, I really liked this episode, it ranks 8th for this season as far as stories(two parters count as one story) but still close to a 9/10, in a season of majority 9’s & 10’s, and as far as the lack of chemistry, it’s supposed to feel like that seeing they’ve only known each other for hours

Alright lemme start with this, If you love Or like Jenny, then awesome! I’d rather you do tbh. If you think they have chemistry on camera, then that’s fantastic. I root for the filmmakers and so when audiences are won over / satisfied then I’m happy for said audience member. However, In all fairness... romantic chemistry isn’t the same as father / daughter chemistry haha. And just cause people have romantic chemistry off screen doesn’t necessarily equate to them having good chemistry on screen - J Lo & Ben Affleck in Gigli, Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern Sometimes chemistry weirdly can’t be replicated, look at Matthew & Kate in Fools Gold (lack of chemistry) but for some reason they have chemistry in How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days. We are 100% cool to disagree, it’s bound to happen haha. Just wanted to point out that chemistry in real life doesn’t automatically mean it translates to on camera.

Fair enough, and I’m happy you liked the episode so much! That’s great, sincerely. In our discussion, I was trying to be a little more specific on what I meant in the talk about their chemistry. Obviously they’ve only known each other a few hours - there is that term I think all of us have heard of “instant chemistry”. I get the impression that most of us did not believe they achieved this. Nor did they need to lol. And in the episode alone, the characters are supposed to be connecting more as episode progresses, and I PERSONALLY - really not suggesting you have to feel the way I did, just further elaborating my subjective POV here haha - did not personally think they began to develop strong chemistry but more like.... moderate chemistry lol. I felt bad for her death not because she died and I’m gonna miss Jenny. I felt bad for the doctor because had just told his story about loss of family and then he experienced that loss again. Like I said, I still had fun watching this episode, I loved Martha & Peg, and there were some great moments, I just know that with it being “The Doctors Daughter” episode that my stance on it is sure to cause a reaction. But in the end, I’m really glad you liked it to the extent you did!

Oh no, I fully agree with you that there wasn't father/daughter chemistry really. I just knew you'd find out about them being married (because Rosie is awesome and this is one of those episodes I know a LOT of trivia about lol). Speaking of, Rosie I have to thank you for all the trivia because while I knew all of today's, quite often I don't know a lot of it and that enhances my appreciation even more. (For example, I hadn't known about Madame du Pompadour being Tennant's girlfriend at the time) I may not always agree with y'all's assessments of the show, but I love that you both are articulate and get specific on things you do/don't like or are thinking about.

thereelrejects

Haha well I’m glad that it’s great when we agree and it’s okay when we disagree, honestly, from being online for so long, it’s like THEE most refreshing thing so thank you for at least being willing to hear us out even if we don’t see eye to eye. Like seriously, that means a lot. And secondly, YES! ROSIE IS INCREDIBLE! Like I even take these facts for granted from time to time, cause she just started doing them and they naturally became apart of our vids. So I love that there are folks like yourself showing your appreciation for them because they take time to assemble and we don’t thank her enough, so MAJOR THANKS TO ROSIE FOR THE BRILLIANT FACTS!! Always fun to react to and discuss. Love you Rosie!

How dare you! 🤣 Just kidding I don't care in the slightest. Georgia's matrilineal name was Moffett. Peter Davison was born Peter Moffett. Not to be confused with the surname of DW writer Steven Moffat lol. Peter Davison is his stage name. In the same regard that David was born McDonald and changed to Tennant for acting purposes. Like you guys, I do like parts of this episode. But partly regard it as the one where David meets his future wife. lol Story has it, that it was Georgia that did most the chasing after filming. lol
