Watching this episode again years later, i can see how the "one of the personality is a dangers killer" could be harmful. I think the same criticism for the movie Split applies to this episode. but it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I can't really speak much for the trans and DID thing, cause I'm not or don't have either, but from my point of view they didn't portrayed it maliciously, I think yeah there's an issue in some media with portraying this kind of characters, but there's also an issue with how people get upset over stuff like this, what I mean is that if the portrayal is anything less that grandios, then it's out right mockery. We need to be more sensitive towards this things yes! but people also have to do a better job of expressing their feelings and dissatisfaction about stuff like this, cause if everytime people will get enraged over the slightest of misunderstanding in a trans or other lgbtq lifestyle portrayal, then this studios will just be like "ok, not touching that subject again", and that will not bring any significant change. Tidbit: the movie with Sally Field Shawn was thinking of when they discovered Robert's thing is Sybil (1976).

Great reaction, I love this one, remember when I first watched it when it aired I was like you with all the wrong guesses, a very well done mystery episode, also Frank Whaley(Robert/Regina/Brody/ the character actor whose name you didn’t remember) was brilliant in the role
