Glad you enjoyed this one. I love shawn’s dad just interrupting phone call moment. The pineapple was in the bachelorette party and the criminals dress at that party I think

I love how well this show is written! Like even the more "outlandish" moments like Shawn's "psychic episodes" are not unorthodox just for comedy sake, as you've seen by now his dad trained him to be a very perceptive and intelligent man, though Shawn chooses to dumb down his qualities because that's a way to do his thing undetected because the PD and even the criminals don't pay attention to him because they think he is a clown. Also the show is steadily building the characters and their traits, and yeah most things you see about the characters early on here will become recurring threads.

Psych really is my comfort show. The chemistry between the characters is amazing and Shawn and Gus' relationship is top tier. This show is just guaranteed joy.
