I love this episode. It tickles my funnybone as well as a little bit on the heartstrings because... Ellen 💔💔. I also like that, although Balthazar does joke about Cas being 'in love' with the Winchesters, Cas does in the end instruct Balthazar to sink the Titanic because he knows that not doing so will cause their deaths. Aaaaw! And any episode with Seb Roche in it is automatically going to get an extra point from me! He's hilarious. I think you might be right about that actress, although I've never really thought about it before. Hmmm. I don't really know how she could have done it differently, though. I checked out her IMDb page and and she seems to have been in work relatively consistently over the years, but never any major roles.

It was pretty funny watching you two Very Very Very slowly glom onto something odd happening. The different car was a big warning sign. Why would Dean ever drive anything other than Baby? Then Bobby's house is neat and clean. Another Big sign. And so when Ellen shows up I just had to laugh. But then you go and figure out it's about the Titanic. This episode has two of my least favorite things in it. Time travel issues and Fate. The butterfly effect is tricky and so it's really something that I often see issues with - like you actually talked about. Also, I don't like it when they talk about things being fated in the show. That things are set in stone basically. That a person's life is scripted.

There is a reason that you thought they were going to be crushed by a piano in that particular spot. It was the same location where Dean was crushed by one in Mystery Spot.

This episode (for me) is actually a Cas episode where it truly shows how much the boys mean to Cas.
