Haven't been commenting much lately because you've done a good job of covering / noticing things. AND this season is so so so good that there needs to be no chance of spoilage. That said, I'm enjoying your reaction and takes very much. Thoughtful is a good word to keep in mind. The way they so organically brought all the storylines together was fantastic. So much more to see and happen. For context, don't forget two things. 1) This portion of the season came out during the time of the Dr. Strange movie. And there is a "missing" book in the library in the movie that some theorize is the Darkhold. and 2) This season also came out during the 2016 presidential election cycle. You might pick up on some themes of tolerance and other stuff.

You didn’t not say daredevil lol. Fun fact I remember after season 3 when hellfire (James ) got the chain people posted that they wanted ghost rider to take it from him. The writers actually read and use what the fans theorize and post about and use it sometimes which I think is so cool. So they put that scene in and it look so great.

This is such a great episode. I really loved looking in on James' recovery post-Hive and seeing how he dealt with his addiction and violation in such a negative way where he began to work with the Watchdogs to kill other Inhumans. Such a contrast to Daisy's recovery which has focused mostly on her helping/protecting other Inhumans while taking down the Watchdogs including Robin in the flashforward from last season's finale. I mentioned last season how the Watchdogs are basically the MCU version of a white supremacist / nationalist militia. Over the last few episodes we find out they are being massively funded/armed by someone with a lot of power. We also learn last ep that they are being supported by a legitimate US senator, Senator Nadeer (Parminder Nagra). So Nadeer was working with the Watchdogs to set up the whole fake Inhuman Uprising in order to foment anti-Inhuman fear in the public and also as a smokescreen for murdering a bunch of Inhumans worldwide. Now in this episode we see that James has been the one getting the group access to the Sokovia Registration list. This is exactly what Daisy's mother, Jiaying, feared would happen when Gonzalez came to her with the idea that all Inhumans had to be put on the Index. It's also exactly what Steve feared in Civil War. While I didn’t agree with either Jiaying or Steve’s subsequent choices, you can’t deny that now it's come to pass. It’s a really interesting and complex situation which I’m enjoying. All of this is so reminiscent of what's happening in our country and is such a personal story line for me. While there are some ways I think they could do better, I really do applaud the show for trying to tackle such heavy topics. They're certainly doing a lot better job than some other shows when it comes to real world allegory. I also really like that they’ve been seeding this all in pretty subtly and seamlessly for the last 3 seasons. We also get a little more info on the ghosts, Eli, and the Darkhold. I’m quite excited since I find the pseudo-mysticism here a lot of fun. The MCU really likes to toe that line between fantasy and sci-fi but usually likes to fall on the side of pseudo-science which as a choice has it’s pluses and minuses, imo. That said, I really enjoy the way AoS in particular balances the divide.
