Greg noticed something and it's become a point of interest for me this season. Episode 2 of this season with the baby shapeshifters Greg mentioned how they didn't draw any attention to the fact that the woman was raped by the shapeshifter pretending to be her husband. Then I noticed that every episode SINCE then, they HAVE said the word "rape" outright and made multiple jokes, this episode included "rape shower," "stock up on soap on a rope," "skip the Shawshank shower scene" and maybe more. I've just found that interesting and I don't know what it means. I also forgot to mention it during the S5 finale, but this episode is the 3rd time we see the leather strapped torture bondage thingy. Ruby and Meg were both strapped to it entirely naked and Sam was fully clothed. Why?? Loooove the fetishization of binding and torturing women 😒🤮 Another weird thing I noticed on this last re-watch was that we've never heard Lisa or Dean say "I love you" to each other. After living together for 1 year and Dean being Ben's de facto step-father, I just found that a little off 🫤🤷‍♀️

During Meg and Cass's kiss I thought she took the angel blade from him? I don't think she gave him anything.

Mishalangelo's Apprentice

Meg was trying to get Cas' angel blade, that was what she killed the hellhound with.

Brigetta was a jinn. The tattoos along her arms are a trademark for jinn. Meg kissed Cas to distract him while she took his angel blade, but he didn't seem to care and kissed her back because I think he was curious. Sam's bloody smile is one of my favorite moments for the character. Just like Dean promising to escape and kill Samuel is a Dean trope that love. RIP Crowley, gonna miss that sassy Scottish bastard

Darn. My comment keeps disappearing. I'll try again. Great episode, this one. Glad you guys liked it too.Your expressions when Cas killed Crowley! 😂😂😂😂😂 Cas is becoming more ruthless. No back and forth. Just a simple "Can you save Sam?", and when Crowley says he can't, Cas just glances at the bones and sets them on fire. No fuss - not even an extraneous finger click or other flourish. Just whoomph! The girl is the djinn back from episode 1 (we first met her as a waitress at the bar giving Dean her number), after which she tried to kill him. I agree that the scene between Dean and Samuel was really powerful. Dean's final threat so well, delivered from behind bars, just looks so frightening you can see even Samuel is trying to hide he's a bit shaken by it. Both actors play off each other really well. Samuel's motivations are the one thing in Season 6 that never made sense to me. It just seems a bit weak. Mary is in heaven. Pulling her back to earth would be of benefit only to Samuel, not to her. If Crowley had pulled her down to Hell, that would be different (but the writers couldn't really do that, because if that were the case, Sam and Dean would drop everything to try to rescue her). Meg took Castiel's angel blade while she kissed him. Apparently, she was supposed to pull Cas and turn with her back to the wall to continue the kiss. However, Rachel Miner (who plays Meg 2.0) suffers from MS and was already growing weaker. So Misha, knowing this, just grabbed her and swung her round. It made for extra comedic effect. (Rachel is now wheelchair bound, but she is still close friends with Misha and is director of his charity, Random Acts).

Rachel Miner is my favorite Meg!!! I agree she has a similar vibe to Ruby; though I find Ruby more blunt with sarcastic humor, while I feel like Meg is more playful and likes to take her time making people uncomfortable. And I think another good difference is that Ruby had an ultimate plan and would do whatever it took to see it through. Meg is just looking to survive and kill her enemies. As a result, she has this careless attitude that I don't see as much in Ruby.

After the week from hell, you still managed to make me smile, so thanks guys <3

A bit late, but better late than never, right? This is a really good episode. Strong and full of characters and good actors doing it justice. All top notch, IMO. This Meg is doing a really good job. The female monster in the cell with the tattoos is a Djinn. She was part of those who attacked Dean in episode 1 of this season. Well. Not sure how I feel about Crowley's death. He's done bad, but he's been a very interesting character. And never let the convention stuff fool you. Cast attend those whether they're still in the show or not. It's really about who the fans want to see. Fans always want some cast, even long after they are gone from the show. My big question during this point in the season was - Where's Bobby???? I also think they chose a pretty weak thing to use for Grandpa Samual's "reason". I didn't make sense to me. Mary was in Heaven. It's really stupid that he'd sell his grandsons live's over bringing his daughter back. She's already dead. Just felt weak to me.
