yay! And as for where is Jared while Jensen is on stage: He's often there too. Behind the stage or on the side lines. Not always though. But he was very supportive of Jensen singing, so he was often there at the beginning. To show his support. Plus, he loves a good time too.

The actor playing Chuck (Rob Benedict) is the lead of Louden Swain. It's his band. He's in almost all of the supernatural convention concerts. And the one playing the Trickster/Gabriel (Richard Speight) isn't a member of the band, but plays with them at every concert.

AHBL - All Hell Breaks Loose - name of the conventions held in Australia. This performance wasn't really planned. It happened at the end of the last panel Jared and Jensen were doing. The band just came out and decided to have a bit of a sing. Jensen was so proud of Jared!

Cute video, although obviously not their most accomplished musical performance. But I am a big fan of 'raw' music - how friends would make music with each other without an audience. I don't think they were trying to intimidate Jared at all or make him uncomfortable by focussing on him. The idea was to support him, as he seemed pretty unsure of himself. I get the impression it required a lot of persuasion to get him to play publicly, as he has never done it before or since.

Jared has clinical anxiety and is very uncomfortable playing music for a crowd. Im sure they were trying to show support and actually block a little bit of the crowd so he felt more like he was playing just for the small group

Aww this was such a nice moment. I *think* the only other time Jared has played on stage with them was at a con in Hawaii, but he is sometimes at the shows, especially the ones in Rome. And yeah I think that was a supportive huddle, rather than a "okay, everyone stare at Jared!" one :P The Filipino guy with the mic you were talking about is Mike Borja, he's the bass player in Louden Swain and he's the LOVELIEST guy. The band has been gently coercing a lot of the cast on stage with them over the years, I'd love to see Jared have another go, but as other folks have said, I don't think he's super comfortable with it. I was actually in the audience for this performance and it was such an incredible moment. Apparently Jared had been trying to learn the guitar for years, and would often play with the guys, just among his friends in the cast but always said he would be too nervous to play in public. The boys said after, that he had said he wished he could play for the audience but was uncertain, and the guys said one day, we’ll pull you on with us. This was the result. Richard and Rob came out at the end of their panel wth Billy and Michael (who are members of Rob’s band - Louden Swain, pronounced Loud-en Swain), and let him have his moment surrounded by friends. At his autograph panel that night, he told my friend, that was one of his all-time favourite convention moments ever as it was overcoming a big fear of his surrounded by friends and fans. This was a song that he had most recently played with his friends. It was an awesome moment to be their for.

I've always loved this, and I'm forever grateful to whoever was able to catch this on the sly and share it with the rest of the world (AHBL has very strict rules on recording)! Jared has been asked at many cons by the fans and even Jensen once in a while if/when he will start participating more. He's always been reluctant almost to the point of being too shy to take more of an active role. Jensen has talked Jared's guitar playing up a couple of times, IIRC, he learns by ear and can do covers (Pearl Jam, especially) well but doesn't finish the song before going to the next one...lol. They used to jam every now and then in his trailer on set between takes. He did sing "White Christmas" on Jason Manns "Christmas With Friends" album. Jason said he did it in one take, and was impressed by how good he sounded without practice. That's quite the compliment coming from Manns, tbh. And I agree, practice or not. I see others have mentioned Hawaii Con, but he also joined in during the last song at the concert for JIB8. Rob, Jensen, Jason and a few others got the audience to conspire with them and threatened to drag him on stage if he didn't go willingly...it was hilarious, and all in good fun. I just realized how much I'm going to miss those weekends..I've been in con withdraw for a while, and I'm so not ready for all of this to end. What was built between the fandom, the actors and the extended SPN family is really something special. It reminds me of what you guys are doing, and I'm here for it!

Greg asked if they are still doing conventions. They are planning to still do conventions even after the show is over. But for right now, they’ve all been postponed due to Corona.

god yes, I miss cons so much rn. In general, but especially SPN cons with the end so close now. It feels like it would be easier to bear if we were hearing them talk about it like we normally would. 🙃I really think that, assuming we're able to get back to some state of normality, those cons will continue for a long time after the show ends... I hope so anyway.

Exactly. Notice Jensen at one point stood up and moved downstage to draw attention away from Jared. All the guys were encouraging and protective of their friend. It’s a singular occasion/ performance as far as I know.

Thanks for the shoutout guys &lt;3 I can't believe I actually got a reaction XD And yeah, they're still doing cons. Sad thing was that when it first got postponed I saw that if was several months back, and would have started like 4 days from now. But because I'm just so so so dumb I didn't realize that the year was actually 2021 not 2020, so yeah..... dumb :p Ugh, can't wait though!

As for Jared's guitar ability, interviews during the early years of the show talk about Jensen moving in with Jared and how they would play guitar together after work. Personally, I love seeing the SPN Family surrounding Jared so protective and caring knowing how uncomfortable this was for him. Like they say: Family always has your back. And I have the tshirt to prove it 💙
