Love all the FitzSimmons moments this episode. You are correct in thinking that this is the peak right before the falling arc towards the story’s resolution. Note to remember that Civil war movie happens between episode 19 and 20 so there will be references to those events

That opening one shot through the base as we follow Mack has always been one of my favorites. People always talk about one shots when it comes to action/fight scenes but honestly this is one that impressed me the most. I think the thing that was so messed up about Coulson wanting Lincoln to wear the murder vest was that he tells Lincoln to wear it because if he gets swayed that's it while insisting they have to rescue Daisy from Hive's sway because she's being mind controlled. May was absolutely in the right to call him out for his hypocrisy, especially after he brought up Andrew like that. As for Alisha, she's been around since the end of S2 since she came from Afterlife like Lincoln. I think the show is pretty vague at this point about whether or not she permanently loses her copies when they're killed so I won't go into that. All we really know is that she feels every bit of their deaths and becomes distraught over them dying. Remember back in the beginning of the season when Lash killed one and she was so freaked out that she basically dissociated and they had to send her away to heal? Compare that to losing two at once here and Hive just waving off her pain so much that she tells him she's happy to make the sacrifice. So chilling. I think this episode does a fantastic job of showcasing Hive's sway and the creep factor of his power. The way Alisha is okay with killing herself, the way Daisy is almost manically infatuated with being part of Hive's family, the way James was freaking out when he first got his power but once he was sway he immediately had control of them, and lastly the way Hive is able to use Will's memory to manipulate and try to connect to Simmons. All of it is so unsettling because it feels so personal. Hive is actually one of my top 3 villains from this show because he's so intimately involved with his victims by the very nature of his abilities. I can't wait until you finish out the season. S4 may be my favorite overall season but the S3 finale was personally my favorite finale in AoS until the recent series finale. I hope you watch the last two episodes of S3 together since they aired as one long finale. Even if you release them to us separately, they're best when at least viewed together, I think. If you can't watch them together, I'll def understand tho.
