So Zennitsu is my fav character in the whole show, but in this ep , his first proper introduction . I though he was the one of the most obnoxious , most whiniest , loudest anime characters i have ever seen, hahahaha. It was just such a contrast to tanjiro and even more of a contrast to actual tone and comedy. Zennitsu is like the most extreme case of this shows particular brand of humor. Among the fans of the show, Zennitsu is either love it or hate it, i dont think theres anything in between, lol. So i dont blame you if you think hes too much, cause he certainly is . As for his VA, I honestly cant imagine any dub doing this particular character justice in VA department. The japanese voice actor certrainly puts 120% in voicing Zennitsu, for better of worse lol. I also love how Tanjiro has completely different dynamic with Zennitsu, he finally actually snaps , the boy scout archetype was kinda getting old for me ,so its really nice to see Tanjiro having this very different, very understandable reaction to Zennitsu. As for the repetition in dialogue forgot whats its called, but i think theres specific thing in Japanese media and writing style that is used a lot , especially in anime . It also so younger audiences could understand the motives n such behind the characters via dialogue maybe? Idk

I love Zenitsu! He definitely comes on strong but I think you will grow to like him John. I agree the VA does an incredible job, I cannot imagine how much honey or cough drops he goes through. Lol The english dub va for him does a pretty good job as well! He actually does vlogs of his recordings on youtube! (Aleks Le) Something small I haven’t touched on, but I like the show having some of the demons use traditional Japanese toys and instruments as their weapons. In addition to Tanjiro, “Boar head guy” is one of my best boys! Oh and the rice cake they ate is called Onigiri 🍙. Excited for the next episode!

Is the whole show fully dubbed in English? I remember few months ago or so it was only first 5 or so ep in English

The “Boar guy” is my favourite but I do love Zenny’s moments. Can’t wait for the following episodes. The dub is alright and the crow sounds just as ridiculous in English.

I watched this in sub on Funimation, but I watched Blind Wave’s reactions and they do dub only so that’s how I heard it! And I believe they used Adult Swim.
