Happy Sunday, friends 'n neighbors!

Since it's been a minute since we checked out some K-Pop, I thought I'd journey out into parts unknown (for me, anyway lol) and check out a video I came across in the "reject-army" Discord thread!

I don't know much about EXO, so consider this my introduction.  The song, itself, comes from their debut album, "XOXO."

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Yeah this song was my first intro to EXO and I think Kpop in general, so I might just have a bias when it comes to this song in particular but if you are interested in more EXO then I can recommend some more. Overdose (very similar to this one but less aggressive), Call me Baby (completely different vibe, much more similar to a summer boyband hit, also one of my favs), Growl (again different vibe and also the music video is filmed all in one take without any cuts) Mama (debut song, cool animated beginning, song is a bit safe in my opinion) love shot (only just over a year old and a bop) 1 billion views (less than a month old, certified bop and reminds me of Bruno Mars’s latest stuff). If you were to do a second reaction I’d probably go for Call me baby or 1 billion views 👍

Wolf was a massive statement intoduction and really interesting to see it as your 1st exo, this is probably a bit like if no more dream had been your first BTS song but maybe even more extreme as BTS had western audiences in mind and so their style is a bit more digestable. Exo is actually a more R&B than anything, especially their B-sides. I got into Kpop through BTS and it took me a little to adjust to Exos style but I adore their music now. Monster is probably their most consistently liked song with western audiences, call me baby as Rosie suggested would also be good, personally I really like Tempo, it's a really unique song that I think you might appreciate too. They're currently doing solo/subunit music as a lot of them are in the military. 1 billion views is a subunit song with the rappers, but since they're in exo of course they can sing too. Another new song I would recommend is from Taemin, a solo artist who is a part of Exo's "older brother" group Shinee. Taemin just release a song called 2 kids and its beautiful. He is one of if not the best dancer in the industry at the moment and although there's not as much dance in this particular MV compared to some of his others, none of the dance he does in this MV is choreographed its just him expressing his story through freestyle.

Ok, this upload caught me off guard as I was listening to some EXO when the notification popped up. They are probably my favourite K-pop group - their discography is amazing! Apart from the songs already mentioned above, I'd also suggest giving Obsession a listen. I personally think it is one of their best (and one of their most experimental) songs.

Whouah so happy to see reactions of other Korean artists. Can you please react to Zico - Anti. Zico is a solo artist who was in a group called Block B. I think it would be interesting to see you react to a solo artist.

And if you want to listen and watch a weird song (but weird in a good way), you have to check Doom Dada from TOP. He is a member from the group Bigbang who are considered as the Kings of Kpop and were supposed to go to Coachella this year (but Covid happened). I think that this is the only group I know where you have as much boys fans than girls. They went beyond of the stereotype of the "boyband". And it's thanks to them that you find more and more artists in Kpop who write and produce their own songs. But as I already said they are a bit "original".
