You missed the prince's first letter you thought it was a continuation of Violets. The character at the end of the episode we've seen already in episode 2 its Gilbert's brother who gave him Violet.

The episode was alright. The main plot was pretty straightforward and the whole romance was sugary sweet(not that its a bad thing ) It just all around mellow episode . The higlight for me personally was the end sequence with the princess and the maid/caretaker. I thought the show did such a fantastic job of portraying feelings via framing and expressions and it felt so bittersweet . It was just very well done scene. Overall i would say the episode was as good as last one , both more on the mellower side with romance as the main thing that ties the new characters .
