A couple weeks ago i was figuring in my head when you would finish supernatural season 5, and when i realized that in the middle of “satan is going to destroy the planet, sam has this idea to say yes to being possessed by the devil” you would watch this dr who story?? I was so excited, its very timely Love the continuing theme of humanity’s curiosity, and the extremes it takes us to, being praised by the doctor. its obviously a trait he really admires and relates to. Its nice to see sci-fi be pro humans sometimes lol When 13 year old me watched this for the first time, lemme tell you, the dr and rose’s relationship just blew me away-- and it still does! they love each other so so much, and their love, trust and friendship practically oozes thru the screen. They make such a great team imo. Every once in a while the show does a “base under siege” episode-- dalek from the previous season is an example-- where the story just takes place in one location, you meet a few characters already there, and the doc and co. are stuck with an enemy. i think the very basic setup makes for some really great stories! especially since here they dont have the tardis as an escape, and by the end of this ep the doc and rose are separated, it really raises the danger. These types of episodes are always really fun Ps. downtown abbey would be the american version lol
