Yes, they randomly plugged a web series in the middle of the episode, but I always thought it worked because it was a trickster ep, and those are always a little crazy. The archangels are closer than the other angels because they were created first and had "family bonding time" haha. Micheal is oldest, then Lucifer then Raphael and finally Gabriel, the baby brother. Don't think that's a spoiler since it's been heavily implied, just thought I'd confirm. Also, I love the thought of all the pagan and eastern gods having a hotel convention to deal with a common problem, before Lucifer turned them into finger paint. It really showed how dangerous he is in the span of less than minute. Love you guys!

“Don't invoke the name of our lord” 😂 I love the show taking time to establish their explanations of Pagan Gods as they do with monsters. I like to see their origins in-depth, also a great way to show how much power Lucifer has. The conversation between Lucy and Gabriel is beautiful, giving a better understanding of their characters. Gabriel is my favorite Archangel, I think he and Castiel are similar choosing humans. It could be more impactful If there were more time between his real and fake death. Lack of burnt-wing-marks was a small hint that his death was fake. What to expect from Gabriel if not faking his own death. 😅 I wish we could see him more. Also not an expert but stories and characters in all religions repeats to some extent, especially the myths created in similar regions or eras. They draw from each other, Greek and Roman mythology is basically the same. And answer to your question is yes, The ghostfacers is an actual web series born out of Supernatural.

Oh, you guys 😆 no, the Ghostfacers web series from 2010 isn’t still going in 2020. Can’t imagine why 😅 But yep, the CW is so lazy, they just left it in. It’s in the episode on my Blu-Ray. Pestilence! Too real for 2020. I turned my video off and just watched your faces, because I’m easily nauseated. They have War’s and Famine’s rings. Great reaction!

Greg's question at 54:34 about how the ending was pitched (re: Gabriel and the tropes used) is very timely, and almost synchronistic IMO. Kripke just did a 30 minute one on one with Sera Gamble on her channel a few days ago where he went into how structure and the creative process worked on SPN specifically, even though it's universally the same in many ways - especially in horror. Structurally, no one is going to reinvent the wheel, and when you can accept that (because certain things just work and always will) it becomes more about how you can personalize it through characters or leave your mark in a way that doesn't get lost in the shuffle. It was a very insightful and fascinating conversation. I learned more than I expected to, and thoroughly enjoyed it. And it wasn't spoilery...at all. https://youtu.be/Y-ZbcNXhLxo

I've always found this an interesting episode. It was something that was nice to see - them bringing the pagan gods into this story line of the Apocolypse. We've seen pagan gods several times so far in this show and it would seem like they'd have to care some what about Lucifer's plans, as that would affect them too. Gabriel's death wasn't diminished for me by the fakeout. It was actually made bigger for me because I had let my guard down about it, thinking that he would be smart enough to trick even Lucifer. Gabe had become a pretty interesting character and one I could really come to like. It would have been so cool to see him working with Sam and Dean - and seeing him interacting with Cas could have been a lot of fun. So that's sad. The Ghostfacers web series was a Thing, but I've never watched it. I was thrown off by them putting that in this episode. I wish they hadn't done that. There is no crossover between the Ghostfacers web series and the show.

I haven't read all the comments, but in reference to whether or not the angels actually perceive themselves as siblings, I think the implication is supposed to be the first angels (The Archangels: Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel, and Raphael) are much closer to being traditional siblings than the rest.
