Don't look now peeps, but it looks like we've got a GUEST for today's MV reaction!  😝

Today we're checking out a somewhat-recent BTS single I haven't gotten the chance to check out (at least in MV format) - IDOL from their 2018 Love Yourself: ANSWER compilation!  More specifically - the remix featuring Nicki Minaj!

Hope y'all enjoy & expect to see the G-Train joining us more frequently for these in future!

You guys should check out the songs Im fine + Idol performed on Jimmy fallon by bts....Also I havent heard the song idol ft nicki minaj version of IDOL in a long time so I'm glad you check that out. The original /main music video to IDOL is equally insane as the one you guys saw. Also the song idol music video has lots of hidden meaning maybe you should also see a video called Idol explained by a korean. That video explains the meaning behind some of the visuals in IDOL.

I did not expect this one! It feels like so long ago but it’s only been two years. Lol I feel a lot of people at the time this came out had mixed reactions to the video itself because they took it at face value, but I’ve always thought it was meant to be a reclamation on all the negative stereotypes against kpop most western audiences have: too colorful, over the top cgi, random cuts/scenes etc., which is reinforced by Namjoon’s (RM’s) opening lyrics “They call me artist, they call me idol, no matter what you call me I don’t care” followed by Jhope’s “I’m proud of it, I’m free, no more irony.” Namjoon, as you guys know, had a hard time fitting into either the rap world or the idol world because he was kind of shunned from both, but at this time in his life he was able to say, listen I own it, I’m a kpop idol and I’m gonna keep doing what I’m doing. Also they do genuinely love their fans, we are the first people they thank whenever they receive any award or acheivement and they know we are diverse in age, ability, gender and race and they are as inclusive and as kind as can possibly be. And while BTS do have great title tracks, their power lies in their b-sides! I know you guys have checked some out on your own, if you ever want suggestions, let me know.

yeah one thing that shows how much they love there fans is the fact that jungkook has a tattoo on his hand that says army and all the initials of the bts members. They really care for each other and there fans. Ive personally have never seen an artist talk and express how much they love there fans as much as bts does. And I really respect them for that.
