Love this two-parter! "Everybody lives!!" gets me a little choked up every time, Christopher Eccleston is so so good in this. I'd have been gutted if they'd let Captain Jack sacrifice himself here. He's such a fun character!

They were separated because Nancy went out for food and Jamie went looking for her and was killed by a bomb. Jamie's body was taken to the hospital, after having been infected with the nanogenes. This is how the doctor knows Nancy when the Doctor refers to her. There wasn't a giving him up situation. I mean you're right, we never do know how she got pregnant, but frankly, a homeless teenager, there isn't necessarily a question beyond how did she survive it. I know this is from months ago, but I don't see a comment answering this question here so I figured it couldn't hurt.
