With the MOTS:7 release cycle well-underway, BTS drops their OFFICIAL Music Video for the album cut of BLACK SWAN!

I seriously can’t keep track of what’s an official MV anymore... Great production value and beautiful choreography (when we get to see it.) Wish they spent more time on that and less on the glamor shots. The song is growing on me, though. Do you guys do any other Kpop? Or just BTS? It’d be cool to see reactions for girl groups or solo artists.

Ahh! I wasn’t expecting you to cover this! This was a surprise MV, and the last one they dropped. It was filmed at the Los Angeles Theatre in the broadway theater district! They were in L.A. for a few weeks so it seems that’s where they shot most everything for this comeback. Jimin’s solo choreo in this isn’t in the official choreo they’ve been performing live, so that was a wonderful treat since contemporary dance is what he was trained in. The shot with Jin and the mirrors, to me, is a direct nod to the film Black Swan since there’s a scene with Nina where the same thing happens. And the most interesting thing for me, is that this is mostly shot from the artist’s perspective: from the stage itself, backstage, etc. which is fitting based on what the song is about. I loved this video, as well as the ON kinetic manifesto ver. the most! Thank you for doing all these john! Have you dug into the album much yet?

2021-07-15 04:51:12 Haha I feel ya there. The "ON" video dropped and I was like, "wait... didn't we just get one?!?" 😅 That's a fair criticism, I hadn't thought of that. I suppose on the heels of the manifesto short, maybe they leaned more heavily into the glamour since that was mostly dancing? As for the coverage, we've had a good amount of success covering BTS (and they were our first major intro to K-Pop), so there's definitely a slant at the moment, BUT we have covered some different groups & would be happy to in future. At least as of now while the MV's are still manageable, requests are welcome as well!

Oh snap!! You mean we could've been bumping into BTS at some point in the recent past?!?!?! Glad I'm not insane tho haha, coulda sworn the "ON" Manifesto was filmed in one of our river/reservoir areas. That's pretty cool about Jimin's solo! I always enjoy seeing that sorta variety sprinkled in. Hoping to be able to make it out to see one of the live shows if the world returns to relative-normal in time 😅😓 good call on Jin with the mirrors as well! I admit, it's been a minute since I've seen Black Swan, but it's always in my mind margins when looking at this tune haha. I think I always flash back to Nina in the mirror with the hangnail 😱 Also, that's a terrific observation re: the video's POV! Don't think I clicked that idea explicitly in the moment, but that's a great visual tie-in to the overall theme of the song. Good stuff! And, as a matter of fact, I have been digging into the album. Had it on pretty regularly in my rotation these past couple weeks, as a matter of fact. Some irresistible tracks in there!
