I do think Hisoka started having a boner when he lost one of his arms , lol. The Kastro guy, I like his confidence but he seems a bit too straighforward especially in contrast to Hisoka . His character design is whatever lol. Tho I think its nice to see Kastro not being one note dickhead cannon fodder , like a lot of times we see in anime, to prop up the antagonist . He carries himself well enough. The bit about Gon being not as interesting main protagonist , I def agree with that , thing is a lot of times in shounen shows MC is always overshadowed by side characters. I have not kept up with MHA , but how do you guys feel about Deku and other characters surrounding him ? Also the bit with Hisokas arm being severed, due to age rating it was censored , so instead of blood we got magic dust , lol.

2021-07-15 04:54:34 Good lol, I'm glad somebody's with me on this. I'm pretty sure he and Illumi must've met as some sort of Hunter S&M club or something 😂 I think the characterization's a big part of what drew us to Kastro in this episode. Like you said, not the craziest design (although for whatever reason I do like his yellow cape lol), but a confident, seemingly thoughtful character. And it's cool to see Hisoka face somebody with a similar level of calm in the face of battle (like you said, not one-note, loud, mustache-twirling dickhead). Think he could have cut back a bit on explaining his technique in the middle of the fight, tho. 😅 Seems like a fair point re: the leads in a lot of these shows. I'm trying to think of some others, but with MHA it kinda goes back n forth. The latest season's definitely been spreading the focus around both on the hero & villain side, so there's kind of a mix. Some episodes you'll be like, "oh yeah.. this show's technically about Midoriya, isn't it?" but then there are some where he's definitely in the center & gets some of the biggest/most moving moments. This season also has little-to-no Todoroki, Bakugo, Iida, etc., so I think that's helped bring some of the center back to Deku. And I was legit wondering about the arm haha. Wwas definitely expecting a good amount of bloodspray there, but I guess I'll allow the magic dust lol. Was just so gratifying to see Kastro land that slice!

Toasted Toad

I'm not sure what you mean about Gon becoming a Mary Sue. He's had one match which he lost comprehensively. His accelerated healing we've already seen (at the testing gate). Maybe not so obvious in the anime as it was in the manga. Don't forget, he is Ging's son, and we have every reason to believe, from the hints everybody has given, that Ging is an extraordinary hunter. We've seen from the beginning that Gon has extraordinary physical prowess. I don't really see exponential growth here any more than with Killua. The Force is strong in both of them! Killua had not encountered Nen because last time he was there, he quit before reaching the 200th floor.
