I love it that you can see Jared Padalecki actually crack up on Dean's last line of the episode: "Son of a bitch!" which was improvised by Jensen Ackles. Also there was the 2007–08 Writers Guild of America strike when this season was made, that's why it has less episodes than the other seasons, originally the plan was to make this season 22 episodes long.

Hahaha I had to go back and watch that moment again to catch it, but that cracked me up. I love little thrown-out/improv moments like that 😂 And good to know! Was wondering actually if that might've been the case. I get foggy on when these eps would've aired, but I definitely remember a few big writers' strikes in my time haha. Interested to see how that'll affect the season as a whole!

Great, reaction guys. As at the end of Season 15, there will have been a total of 327 episodes (actually, J2 themselves negotiated to have only 20 episodes each for the last 2 seasons because they wanted more time with their families). Not many more to go, then! I don't know who you've got as your viewership that someone seems to feel you need a heads up for the quirky episodes. They really aren't controversial at all. They are often 'fan favourite' episodes, and if you were to look at IMdB ratings, they often score amongst the highest (Tall Tales from last Season ties for 4th behind the season premier, season finale and the djinn episode. I can't really give away the ranking of this one yet as you're only part way through the season, but it's very high. Later ones also get top billing. Only Hollywood Babylon doesn't rate as high). I'm glad you're appreciating them both as actors too. They're more than just pretty faces, which is what they're dismissed as by those who have not actually watched the programme. I think I've done my catch up too fast - I'm going to run out of episodes to watch soon!

I think they intentionally showed the rabbit's foot /actually/ catching on fire AFTER she stole the scratch tickets. I'm more confused about how she even knew they were in that pocket given how smoothly she pulled it off. Also, ugh, I love seeing Jared's acting in this episode since he's so frequently the straight man. And they did movies prior to establishing a family and performing at conventions ( more than any other fandom ever ). They also did more episodes per season after the strike that cut this particular season short.

Though? I suppose it could have also been Dean's poor luck that he didn't notice? Combined with Sam's distracted by the gunshot wound? It wasn't exactly impossible.

"I Lost My Shoe" one of the funniest things ever

I met Michael Masse too, I worked with him a few times on student films. He was an interesting dude.
