So i never watched in dub. Its pretty decent lol, it has a bit different tone to the show but thats naturally gonna happen because of different language and voice acting. On to the episode . So in first ep Light was killing criminals and in his head it was justified right? This ep the moment fake L appeared , Light wanted to kill him immediately . Like the fact that he tried to kill law enforcement person. not an actual criminal speaks volumes about his psyche . lol. At least thats how I interpreted first time i watched it. And I def agree Ls introduction is fantastic. Also his handler , appearing like someone from noire detective stories was a nice touch , haha.

The show only gets better from here. The battle of wisdom between Light and L is arguably the best I've seen in anime.

Ohhh yeah haha, the second that scene began to play out in front of the TV, I became reeeeaaal worried for Light 😅 ..although, I guess I was already worried about him from the first episode haha - his philosophy and the way he speaks (..at least in the dub). It’s almost disconcerting how quickly he’s shifted over to maniacal in just 2 episodes haha. And yesss, loved that choice for the handler. Makes me curious about what other inspirations will start to pop up. Either way, nice to have you back mate :) thanks for watchin with me!!

Aaahh I’m nervous haha. The intro to those two, ESPECIALLY after L’s reversal, got me so excited to see them go head to head trying to hunt & outwit one another. Thanks so much for watchin’ with me!! 😊

I truly do love this anime. And this scene highlights especially how intelligent L is. He managed to prove Kira's existence, a restriction on how he can carry out a murder, and not only that he's in japan but he's in a specific region. It's pretty amazing. And this cat and mouse style of suspense and mystery only gets crazier and crazier.

And ESPECIALLY the reversal here with L - SUCH a cool sequence, not only to illustrate how sharp & formidable he is, but also to make Light sweat a bit.. Seriously SO excited to keep on going haha. It's been a long time coming!
