Also, it is later said that she genuinely doesn't know who Ben's father is (when she's possessed by a demon, the demon says that Lisa doesn't know -- the demon could be lying, or it could be true, no way for us the audience to know) but either way, if LISA doesn't know who the father is then yeah, like mathew said, there's no reason for her to say this to Dean, a 1 night stand from a decade ago in a long line of dangerous bad boy 1 night stands. Also, you could argue that's why Dean and Ben are so similar, is because whoever his father IS, Lisa says she "had a type" back then, so the REAL father would also have those Dean-like characteristics

I always love your discussions at the end! I agree it's a shame we didn't get the reunion of that woman and her daughter, but I guess at the end they decided to bring it back to the season arc themes as far as we've got (Dean trying to deal with this being his last year of life and Sam's sprint to save him). So the twist in the end became not whether Ben was or was not Dean's son, but that Dean was actually sorry to find out that he was not (some of the fandom still believe that Lisa was lying and that Ben was indeed his son, but it doesn't really matter). I can't help thinking that surely that woman must have had a traumatic relationship with her daughter after that. Surely she wouldn't be able to forget that her daughter was in fact a monster for a while?

Yup, Toasted Toad. I am one of those that will forever believe Ben is Dean’s kid. Lisa was way too flustered when Dean first asked. She was so freaked by the question. If she had really done a blood paternity test with the real father, she would have just laughingly told him he was not the father....not saying it at the end of the episode after she had time to make up the story. That’s my headcanon and I’m sticking to it. I will die on this sword because Dean and Ben are just too freakin’ adorable.
