Please react to RA the Rugged Man. He's a legend. He's a goat and one of the best to ever touch a mic. He's the most feared lyricist alive and has been doing it since the late '80's early '90's. Personally, found it disturbing (and I don't mind the macabre), but since women are breaking ground to be in the forefront, I guess it takes extremes to make a statement beyond being a sex symbol. Similar things have been done by male musicians, and in a way I understand why she's pushing the envelope to make her statement, aside from "she's here". Reminds me of the shock value of androgynous Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals or Alanis Morrisette's "Thank U" for the nudity aspect. Violence wise? Seen similar odd ventures into the Gothic corners of the mind.

Definitely remember both back in the day, but I'll NEVER forget when Mechanical Animals hit, seeing that image everywhere, then later the video. Always fascinated when one of these more boldly-provocative videos drops. I can certainly see why you'd be a bit disturbed & perturbed by what's going on here. It's a very stark video in a lot of ways, at least as I recall.
