Had to rewatch a couple of times to pinpoint the exact moment Greg turned into a puddle of tears. I was exactly the same way the first I saw it. In my mind Hopper is the American until proven otherwise lol

I went through so many emotions during this episode. Lol And I did ugly cry during hopper’s speech. It made me think about how bittersweet growing up can be and how change can be scary, but necessary. I really did love this season and I cannot wait until S4. Thanks guys for doing all these in a week! Your dedication is very much appreciated.

I absolutely loved this episode! One of the best roller coasters I've ever been on. Hopper's letter and Dustin/Suzie singing The Neverending Story theme song were my favorite moments by far.

So glad I had my second viewing of this season with your reactions. I binged the entire 3rd season starting at 2am the night it went live on Netflix and ended up finishing later that morning. Add lack of sleep and I was super emotional. I loved watching it again with y'all (I'm Texan, forgive me) because I picked up more things I missed plus it was great to hear the appreciation for the cinematography and lighting of these episodes. The shot with Mind Flayer in the middle of the mall and Billy holding El to the ground was beautiful. It's nice to hear comments like that when watching such a great series. Aw, no problem dear!! I think we’d have gone insane trying to wait week to week to cover them 😅 still thinking about the letter at the ends. Loved the way it sorta humorously begins as Joyce’s words & then very beautifully turns to Hop. Really cuts to the heart of the show beneath all the SciFi. Excited now to see what’s outside of Hawkins!

There's a fan theory floating around the internet that the next season may involve time travel. There are quite a few hints along that line, if you think about it, particularly with Back to the Future and in Hopper's letter. Also, it would actually make sense if the American is Brenner, because that would explain how the Russians found out about the gate and the upside down to begin with.

I watched your reaction highlights to this season and then was so curious about your reactions to the parts that weren't shown that I came here and signed up just to watch the whole season again with you. John was actually pretty accurate with a lot of guesses, throughout the season. The interesting thing for me is that they've proven, repeatedly, that the lifeforms from the upside down can't survive in our world without an open gate, so in order for there to be a demogorgon in the end credits scene, the Russians have to have an open gate. Also, the upside down seems to be a direct reflection of our world, so that would imply that if you go through a gate in Russia, you'd be in the upside down in Russia and just as far from Hawkins, IN in the upside down as you would be in our world, right? That idea makes me wonder if there is more than one mind flayer, too. One for each country, one for each gate, one for each continent, or just one big creature that hovers over Hawkins and is the only one in the upside down? So many questions... Anyway, thank you for posting your reactions. I really enjoy watching them and intend to watch a lot more now that I'm here.

Yesss haha, Brenner’s my theory and I’m stickin’ to it!! I could definitely fathom a time travel element coming into play. I’m sure there are a lot of kooky ways in which they could mix that in with the interdimensionality of the Upside Down & all that stuff. I get a little weary of time travel sometimes these days in plots, but I’d be curious to see where the Duffers would go with that.

Haha yeah, they sorta got both sides of the heartstrings coin with those beats. Love the way they’re able to balance out when they’re hitting you with action vs sheer feeeeels.

Aw, that really means a lot! Thank you so much for watching along with us! 😊 Even when some of the takes are hot, we try to make these as much fun & get as invested as possible. And god, after an all-night binge, I don’t doubt it! I’m still processing some of the moments and developments from our first viewing haha. Definitely wanna go back at some point and enjoy all the finer details tho. That whole sequence there with El, Billy, and the Mindflayer was so cool, and harrowing, and cathartic. Agh! Really glad you enjoyed the season as much as we did. Scoops Troop over & out!!

And thanks haha, I feel like I did better with my predictions for this show than about any other 😅 And yeah, what I was sorta thinking based off that is if the Russians have a demogorgon and all this sinister, secret, upside-downy stuff, then they must’ve made some kind of breakthrough post-initial failure... which is sinister haha. And if my Brenner theory holds true lol, that could explain that turn pretty niftily. And yeah, when it comes to the Upside Down, I feel like you’ve got the right idea. It’s always felt like its own shadow version of our world to me, so I gotta imagine a gate in Russia would have its Upside Down counterpart. Quite curious about the mindflayer as well. I guess just speculating from here, I feel like there could be more.. or maybe different ones - different parasitic smoke entities yearning to devour our world.. maybe all sharing in that same sorta partial hive-mind? Haha we could speculate endlessly til season 4 drops. But seriously, thanks so much for coming to watch along with us! Hope you’re enjoying the rest of what we have to offer! :)

Became a Patreon just to revisit this season with you guys :) God i love Season 3 so much haha, and your reactions really made it fun to rewatch! Cant wait for Season 4, and now that some time has passed, I'm pretty sure that Hopper escaped through the Upside down!
