Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse! I thought it would be a fun time....but wow didn't know I was going to be watching a film that was THAT great. Good question Jhon.

I thought Overlord was going to be a typical zombie movie at first of just watching the trailer, but after watching it I was amazed how well good it really was.

Dredd, Karl Urban one. Had no expectation for it besides the stylish trailer. But maan, that movie surprised me in its direction, action sequences and just overall how confident it was. Raid movies too, they are probably one of the best action movies i have ever seen. The most recent is probably Logan. I knew its gonna be great , I lknew im gonna like it. What I did not expect, that its gonna be my fav superhero film since Dark Knight. Its probably my most re watched comic book film too. I just did not expected to resonate with me on a such level.

Right?? I was definitely a bit skeptical from the first trailer, but that became one of the most fun surprises of last year haha. I hope it can find some legs on home video 🤞🏼

Not an interesting choice by any mean but the first film that comes to my mind is the first Ant-Man. I was VERY skeptical going in and it turned out to be one of my fave MCU films purely because of its stupidity and fun factor 😂

2021-07-15 05:21:45 Oooh, good call! I'm failing today as I still gotta watch Dredd, but that's pretty much everything I heard when it was coming out haha. I knew a lot of people who weren't about the trailer, even, who came out loving that movie. So now I'm just waiting for the right time to watch haha. The Raid films are incredible!! Definitely some of the most distinct & memorable action flicks I think we've seen in the past several years. Still wondering if they'll ever make a third someday.. Feel ya on Logan as well. That was a really gratifying moment to find that it not only delivered on the hype & anticipation, but also managed to be a legitimately affecting film. Definitely a good call there. And in that respect, I think TDK is definitely one of these. We were all crazy-excited, but I don't think aaanyone was prepared for that one haha.

Actually no. I felt A&W was really messy and full of unnecessary subplots and characters. Would put it in the top 5 from the bottom maybe.

Oh snap! I think we enjoyed it a bit more than you, but I can totally see where you're coming from re: the messiness with the extra characters & subplots and all that. Did seems like they could've simplified and consolidated a few things to make the overall film run more smoothly.
