Happy Monday, Patron-O-Jects!!

Figured I'd kick off my first solo music video reaction of 2019 with a little K-Pop!

Shouts out to SPREE for putting together this li'l list of BTS music vids - and to Elle B. and Natalie Doran for aiding me in this journey as well!

We takin' it back to one of the group's earlier joints on this one...

Join meeeeee!!!

Very nearly went with this thumbnail haha...  but ultimately decided the other matched the video better.  But either way, here ya go!!

The next video is definitley more focused on the storyline than the song. It's kind of cinematic. It was also the first BTS video I saw and it just gave me so much feels even though I had no idea what was going on lol

Thank you for what you do.

Yay! High fives for Spree! Lol Before this, BTS’ sound was more hard hip-hop/rap heavy. Their first trilogy of mini albums is known as the “School Trilogy” since most of them were still teens at the time their songs were more targeted to school-aged teens, the sound was fun and also kind of ...angry. Lol there are some great tracks that came out of that era! But the storyline begins here with the “Youth trilogy”. The title characters at the beginning mean “Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa” translating to “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” which is why a lot of fans refer to this as the HYYH series for short. This song is great and catchy, but it’s not really my fav from this era. I think the music video and the instrumentals make it. A quick guide for who’s who if you want to talk about each guy’s “character” in the future: Flower petals: Jin Bathtub: Jimin Hotel Fire: Suga Alley beatdown: Jungkook Pills at the sink: J-Hope Guy who did the stabbing: V Gas Station: RM Looking forward to hear what you think going forward! Thanks for taking this on John!

Oh damn haha.. good to know!! I'll be sure to emotionally prep myself before the next one, then. 😅

not really a spoiler cause i still dont understand the plotline lol but when I first watched the next mv after this one (prologue) it seemed to me like V, the guy who starts the video, is all alone and his friends are dead. It was my own initial amateur theory which is why it made it so sad for me.

2021-07-15 05:21:50 Ahhh, okay haha. I guess that makes sense, but also at the same time I can't quite imagine that version of their sound lol. Gonna have to go back at some point 🤔I know it upsets a lot of people when bands shift & change over time, but I always find that stuff fun. Be curious to check out some of the early cuts at some point. Gonna do my best to start learning who everyone is as these move forward haha, so I appreciate the guide & background info as well! And I think I agree, generally. Of the songs I've heard so far, I feel like some of the others have stuck better with me (or at least wormed their way into my ears more effectively), but did really appreciate the combo of the visuals with the instrumental. Really enjoyed that piano part at the top. And no problem! 😊 this has been an adventure so far, but it's been really fun getting to know a new group and sharing that with you guys, so thank y'all for guiding me along the journey!

I love when bands evolve their sound, and to me bts just keeps getting better as they mature!
