Excellent request Greg B! I remember a Gene Hackman film where he is driving in a car chase and the front windshield keeps going from clear to cracked before the crash at the end of the scene. This type of stuff takes me out of a film but I can see where a director will make the judgment call that a particular take trumps a continuaty error.

Thank you David G! My first continuity error experience that took me out of a scene was in Raimi's first Spider-Man flick. At the end as Mary-Jane is talking w/ her hand glued to Peter's face the camera cuts back to Peter delivering a line "that's all I have to give" and her hand is just gone, but then a second later it's back! Before that I never thought professional films could make such an obvious mistake, but I also didn't realize how much work it actually took to avoid those mistakes!

Ohhh man haha, once you pop, the fun don't stop when it comes to onscreen goofs 😂 some are harder to spot than others, but that's definitely something Greg has a keen eye for. I feel like I've seen that scene with Gene Hackman, I'm trying to place the film off the top of my head, but I definitely recall Mary Jane's hand lol. I feel like there are a looot of continuity errors to be found when it comes to car stunts, specifically. My dad used to always point out to me that.. after a big jump, you can usually see the whole front end of the stunt-car buckle (rendering it essentially un-drivable)... and then in the next shot they're usually zipping away like nothing's happening. Food's a big one too haha (good examples with the coffee). This definitely got me looking out harder for errors since we watched it lol. Thanks again for the request, mate!!

The Dukes of Hazzard was a TV show notorious for scenes of the General Lee obviously getting banged up in stunt shots then the next shot right as rain. Vertigo has a scene where Jimmy Stewart and another actors drinks fill levels keep going up and down...

I deeefinitely believe that with Dukes of Hazzard 😅 would be very curious to go back and pick those out of Vertigo, though. One of these days we'll have to edit a montage together of the greatest continuity errors or something haha.

I’d like to see that montage! “Reel Rejects Ruining Reels?”, yeah I’m definitely down
